I've been saying this for decades. the elite, politicians and the media have been misusing the word "entitlement" for quite awhile now. it means precisely what it says - its something you're entitled to,; its something you already have the RIGHT to possess. but the elite use the word as synonymous with "handout." but they NEVER mention that its the elite who receive the handouts. and these elitist handouts are funded by middle class taxes and removing the rights of the lower classes.

  2. yep, and it sells you at BELOW market value. that's capitalism for you. the elite buy (or steal) everything for less than what its worth and sell it back to us at huge mark ups and the elite rake in the massive profits.

  3. these partisan actions by the GIOP, McConnel et al, are not only underhanded and unethical, their ILLEGAL and unconstitutional. so you have to ask yourselves, where's the democratic leadership during all this? why are they nor raising hell? they need to be relentlessly filing law suits and funding and organizing MASS protests. why is it EVERYTIME the dems it screwed, and they've been getting screwed a lot these last 40 years, why do they just roll over and play dead?

  5. +Jim... good idea. but even the word "benefit" carries a "handout" connotation whether it prefaced with the "earned" or not. why not just call them HUMAN RIGHTS. that's what they are. retirement and financial security, livable wages and just benefits, housing, food, education and medical care are human rights. there things that earned by just being born and being human. but either way, I think we're both on the right track. but will we ever be listened to?
