actually the U'S. ranks very low on the social indexes; including infant mortality, medical care, environmental protections, hunger, poverty, homelessness, water purity, vacation time, etc, and we rank the highest in prison population, CEO pay, work hours and stress and anxiety. and all this insanity began back with Reagan and has just exacerbated in the ensuing years and decades. trump is the latest symptom of the insanity of Reagan.

Pelosi and many democrats are just as spineless as the GOP. trump's election itself was illegal but the dems readily started calling this buffoon president on day one because to challenge the legitimacy of trump's claim to the office would require the dems to expose their own crimes. its like putin and the Russians gave trump dirt on all of them and trump's blackmailing them into submission. in order to bring trump to justice all of these people will have to expose crimes in their past they don't want exposed. nothing else explains all this unfounded loyalty and refusal to act as the law requires.

voting is no guarantee in removing this moron. he didn't win the first election. the American and Russian oligarchs put him in the white house. so what makes you think the next election will be any more legitimate? the dems have introduced election reform legislation but the GOP keeps blocking it. so I don't see anything but a repeat of corruption of 2016 to occur in 2020. and if the dems select biden to run against trump, we're all screwed.

@theodoreroberts3407 … yes, mcconnel and graham are definitely responsible for the blocking of any bi-lateral attempts at some kind of cooperation. but NO ONE and NOTHING is forcing the rest of the GOP from breaking ranks with these 2 and acting independently, following their conscience and enforcing federal law and the constitution. there have been times when the same could be said of the democrats - BUT CONCERNING TRUMP - this ISN'T one of those times. where trump is concerned its IMPERATIVE that the GOP members of congress put country, AND THE LAW, over party. IMPEACH TRUMP! REMOVE TRUMP! and demand the GOP enforce the law and the constitution!

Hartman's point is - when there's a break down in the respect for the law, then thugs and fascists take over and there's no one to stop them. of course the military can always step in, seize power and declare martial law. maybe that's what the oligarchs want. either way, our whole society, both our government and economy are ruled by criminals and no one has stopped them yet!
