  1. these self titled "libertarians" are in fact mere laissez-faire capitalists with a few left-wing social positions thrown in. they may criticize big business on occasion but in fact their policies help big corporartions thrive and control the economy. and they know it. throughout the world the word "libertarian" is more or less synonymous with socialism. socialism being the process through which humanity can regain its liberty from the elite who enslaves it. and in america libertarian meant the exact same thing until after wwll when a small group of industrialists and oligarchs absconded with the word and corrupted its meaning to comply with their elitist agenda. so the elite has corrupted the word libertarian, in the U.S., just like it did the words "patriot," "justice" and even "freedom" itself. (remember "freedom is slavery"?) the left pulls this crap too but with different issues. orwell has a word for it - double-think, or newsspeak. its the re-defining of words and concepts to misrepresent your true goals and to distort reality itself. then as you simply fire-hose these intentionally mis-defined words you prime people for political manipulation and exploitation.
