  1. austerity just means punishing the lower classes for the mistakes of the elite while letting the elite keep their wealth and power. "oh oh - we really screwed up! boy, the rest of you are gonna really pay for that!" the system is set up so the elite profit no matter what. a boom economy - the elite profit. a bust economy - the elite profit. the right in power - the elite profit. the left in power - the elite profit. what many people fail to realize is that capitalism results in big business AND big govt! without big, corrupt govt to enforce the elitist will, there'd be no big, corrupt business to corrupt the govt to begin with. capitalism and free-marketism are 2 separate things. capitalism is the vicious cycle of elitist corruption of society and manipulation of humanity that's oppressed and enslaved us ALL for over 5000 years.
