... its not both sides of the political spectrum; its the "leadership" of BOTH major american political parties who are corrupt. remember, the dems don't represent the left. they're so-called "moderates; centrists. they're neo-liberals who embrace capitalism and the elitism and corruption that it brings. you can hear this crap from biden everyday as he trashes nationalized medicine, when 70% of ALL americans favor it, and trashes the movement for de-funding the police when those massive police dept funds are better suited for social programs to reduce crime rather than funding the police-state. biden and the dem "leadership" are no more leftist than the GOP. in fact, they're more "center-right" than moderates. BOTH parties, but not "both" ideologies, are pro-elitist, corporate shills. if the true left, progressives, socialists, or whatever you want to call them, were to become corrupt, then they would NO LONGER be the left. they would just be corrupt neo-liberals like the dems are now. btw, the left IS quickly disappearing in this country and becoming more fascist everyday. this is because of their leadership, not their ideology. the left is abandoning their ideology in favor of "political correctness" and "identity politics."

@livondiramerian6999 ... no, our political nominees are chosen by the elite. ever notice how these politicians have a tendency to RICH? when was the last time we had a president that was poor" or middle class? when was the last time congress or any state legislature had a member among them that wasn't an elitist? the elite choose our candidates. they choose OUR choices. because THEY FEAR US! they fear we might actually vote THEM, the elite, out of power. and, oh my god, WE CAN'T HAVE THAT!

@Larpy McLarperstein ... uuhhh, its the GOP, the corporatists and the capitalists who favor authoritarianism and oppressive centralized govt. and trump is just one indication of this. trump's the most authoritarian person to occupy the whitehouse in a 100 years. he's even using the federal govt to VIOLATE state rights and STEAL a national election. trump violates the rule of law, the constitution and continually acts unilaterally over the objections of the u. s. congress and courts. so quit falsely claiming you want small govt when the reality is you seek an oppressive, elitist-controlled, authoritarian govt that enforces the will of the FASCIST, capitalist elite.

sorry thom, but if you believe american home "ownership" is at 50% you're falling for one of many capitalist lies. first of all, a mortgage isn't ownership. its "rent-to-own." you can be removed from your home, LEGALLY, by the elite at any time for any reason. that's NOT ownership! lastly, only about 25 to 30% of americans can qualify for a mortgage! what's really STUPID here is that i've been paying a house payment, ON TIME, every month for 30 years. but i STILL DON'T OWN ANYTHING! this is called "rent." while rich american's house payments go towards eventual ownership, we lower class american "renters" pay the same house payments FOR DECADES but are NEVER ALLOWED to own anything! THIS IS CAPITALISM!
