  1. the u. s. oligarchs and industrialists have been trying to normalize and promote fascism, in earnest, since the end of ww2 and the mccarthy hearings when liberalism was publicly and vigorously attacked as anti-american and, maliciously, associated with stalin. the fascists lost ww2 but took over the u. s. govt. you can even go back further to eugene debs and the great socialist movement prior to ww1. the u. s. has ALWAYS been a "left" leaning nation ruled by fascists. trump is just the latest example of this. the GOP loves fasct groups because they're great little recruiters to the fascist cause. militias are the GOP's "brownshirts" they're used to intimidated and threaten the opposition and to indoctrinate gullible malcontents and spread lies and conspiracy paranoia to further the fascist cause.
