  4.  @oddward5759  You really think our benevolent corporations are going to reduce prices when supply chain issues decrease? Also, printing money doesn't necessarily result in inflation. Only the circulating currency matters for that and 99% of all that printed cash is going straight into the stock market (or just to rich people pockets) so companies can do stock buybacks and inflate their ceo's bank balance which just sits there collecting more cash. Money at the top stays at the top and never trickles down as they claim it will.

Why not just use the Bayh Dole act and demand big pharma reduce prices to fair costs or take their drug patents and give them to other companies that will? It's great that he's doing something but also infuriating that it's always half measures and crumbs. (Better than republicans though who would demand we pay double instead of less so the poor corporations and billionaires can survive on their measly yachts the size of manhattan.)

Biden increased the overtime pay to workers making up to $58k/year but Trump wants to decrease it again back down to only $35k/year so that anyone who makes over 35k would not qualify. (This is for white collar professionals that are salary.) Trump also said he wants to eliminate taxes on overtime and tips but I can 100% guarantee he will not do that. And he's been bragging about not paying people overtime that was owed so.... yeah.

  47. They are turning every second/thing in our lives into paywalled luxury goods. Pretty soon my toilet is going to function off a subscription model and charge me a "convenience" fee. I remember buying concert tickets 15-20 years ago before they had them on the internet. You'd have to drive there, took me 35 minutes to the closest ticketmaster, and they still charged the convenience fee. Everything is a scam now. Age of the robber barons II.

  50. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think the taxpayer owns it. That's communism lol. I'm pretty sure they said the taxpayers subsidized it to court some company to build the plant there. Like how the Chips and Sciences act gives massive subsidies to chip makers to build plants in the US. Taxpayers don't own the plants, we just pay for 30% or 50% or whatever amount is agreed to to build it or waive taxes on it for 10 years.
