China has literally said "Don't play with fire" on like 20 occasions
64
Yeah, this is actually true
30
I stand with Taiwan. GO TAIWAN
29
Key words: "Russia's 1st Deputy Prime Minister says...."
29
This is true. It's a pain many many people in Ukraine are feeling right now as well. I wonder if Dugina is aware of that
25
I live very close to this location....maybe 10 minutes by scooter. Pretty crazy to see/hear about this....all from the outside internet, as it's censored here.
21
So why does China scream so loud if it is so big and strong?
18
@1ndragunawan So this is also true...even for China. Not only does the world rely on Taiwan, but China itself also relies on Taiwan for chips. This is one of the barriers China will need to overcome before it invades/takes Taiwan - Chip dominance. Not an easy feat
17
Stop it. Leave them alone
15
There is also another aspect besides only chips. China would have a strategic advantage to project itself militarily if it were to control Taiwan. This would be a major danger for Japan and also the US.....hence Japan also being especially concerned with Taiwan China desperately wants to control the first Island chain. For defense and also offensive purposes.
13
disagree. the US has it's problems, but it do not forget that they have the strongest military, for now
10
Yea well we don't use the bible to make or enforce laws
9
I STAND FOR TAIWAN
9
So many Wu Mao's on WION's channel
8
I'm not sure either and I've asked myself this question. Only thing I can think of is they hope to develop these countries over the long term and create nations who are developed and friendly/indebted/dependent on them through economic growth. I think they may have been overly optimistic though about what they can achieve.
8
There are tons of good US based news coverage, you're just not looking in the right places.
7
Then China has nothing to be angry about then, right?
6
Germany has made the right move and has actually gained face globally. Europe will go through a small pain period but it will be ending within a year, once they fully source their energy from another country. The mistake for Germany was to rely on Russia so much to begin with.
6
Nations invaded by China: India: Sino-Indian War (1962) Russia: Sino-Soviet Border Conflict (1969) Vietnam: Sino-Vietnamese War (1979) Next: Taiwan If you want to argue technicalities of who has invaded more, sure thats fine - but China's hands are far from clean, so at that point - what does it matter who has invaded "more" ?
6
That would be Xi and then Trump
6
It's called the news
5
I agree it's mostly symbolic, however, China has been trying to gain influence within Europe for a longtime now and strategically this hurts that opportunity. It also has a knock on affect as it will influence other Central and Eastern European countries view of China. So a diplomatic blow, as well as geopolitical in terms of their Europe strategy
5
Wow, nice job deflecting from the issue with "What about"-ism. So disgusting
5
@Deangelo Mathis Lol umm are you from like 100 years ago? They do that, It's called NAFTA - or whatever the new upgraded version is called
5
Thats right baby
5
This sums it up perfectly!
5
They have been doing the exact same thing to Canadian aircrafts
5
How does that apply to China in this video?
4
Indian government has offered, China has not responded
4
Stop it with your nonsense...
4
Apparently they can't
4
Love Kevin Rudd. Happy to see him here on WION
4
And heeeeeere come the Chinese Wumao's and bots. They will be sure to have non-Chinese names and profile pictures
4
Can't have cases if you don't test. I am here on the ground and it is spreading faster than a wild fire. Two people from my job got send home today because they were positive
4
It's a sad state of insecurity when you have to post something like this to make yourself feel better about China's failings
4
They're also going hard on the Japanese as well. IF your goal is attract foreign investment to boost your economy... it is extremely counter-productive to go after the companies the #1 and #3 economies in the world trying to invest in your country.
4
They always do this... they see something another country did and they copy it. This is because their ship initially got turned away at Sri Lanka, so they're like "hey thats a great idea!"
4
Lol they are all over it like flies on shit
3
Thank you for being aware and pointing that out. It's ridiculous...
3
If thats what you got from this video, you completely missed what she's saying
3
Right but you're numbers miss something. The type of chips China produces are very low quality in terms of their value. They are mass producing things that go into kids toys, electric scooters, remote controls...etc. Meanwhile TSMC and Samsung are producing the highest quality/most advanced chips that go into things like: iphones, advanced computers, scientific equipment, etc......the value of those chips far outweigh the value created by the entirety of semiconductors produced by China. Remember - not all chips are created equal
3
@Kevin-fq3zh Preach!
3
Yeah, at how many lives lost? Very irresponsible to go from one extreme to the other, over night. Should have gave time to prep hospital beds and get the vulnerable vaccinated and boosted
3
@LondonWater Thank you!
3
Lol nice try, Chinese/Russian bot. Sew that discord
3
I'm American but a "US Republican in Congress agrees" means absolutely shit.
3
You realize that US is more econically dependent on the US right? They're an export based economy, and guess who their #1 customer is?
3
Great job, US. Taiwan is a country
3
Gonna be much more than 1 mill. The hospitals are stretched to brink on a good day.. plus an older population, lack of quality vaccinations etc
3
Lol too funny... you're right, it's always "raised tensions" like, from what number? Where are we now? haha
