@DrDre001 haha your avatar FTW

Website video is through Vimeo, not sure about revenue on that one.
1
@Casper I'm sure any cleaner made for LCD screens would be fine, such as TV or computer displays.
1
Indeed. I had the stock exhaust resonator removed from my car during my last year of college because it always scraped the parking garage ramp, and I finally got sick of it!
1
Anonymous you have no idea what you're talking about. Quit pulling numbers out of your ass
1
The entire restoration was at least $50K sure, you said the "paint job" was $50K which is false.
1
Amazing transformation! The wheels are just mind-boggling how good they came out!
1
Was this car in the Teckademics Mischief 3000 movie, from the 2002 G3K? I can't remember. The only M5 I remember was being driven by some kid.
1
To do videos he needs customers with neglected vehicles, of course.
1
glass is an extremely hard material, making it very difficult to polish. Just about the only thing that will make a dent in those scratches will be cerium oxide, sold as Ceriglass and probably some other products. Careful, though, because it's an extremely messy process.
1
I do the same. Hell my wife's car is the only car worth detailing at my house lol.
1
oh dang that floor jack under the LR tire left a nasty looking gouge in the driveway all the way into the garage.
1
here you go sir, it's from one of Larry's videos over on the /DRIVE channel, as part of the /DRIVE CLEAN series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZUzvhhyGR8
1
from what Matt Moreman was saying, they're kind of a pain to deal with.
1
Larry also has a video on /DRIVE CLEAN showing front windshield cleaning on a Caddy CTS-V, going through various steps on the outside cleaning using a razor scraper, clay bar, glass cleaner, and glass polish with a thin glass polishing pad on a DA polisher.
1
watch the whole series on Vimeo from ammonyc.com, it's over 1.5 hours long I think.
1
OMG Larry’s using a polishers that’s NOT a Rupes!!! 😱😂😂
1
lol same, and when he stuck a handful right up in front of the camera I physically moved my head backwards while sitting at my desk, making an EWWWW face. lololol
1
Ephraim Hill apparently you missed the side by side comparison between wrapped and unwrapped panels. No discernible difference in the appearance whatsoever.
1
2-hour fire glass shouldn't be required, unless he just wanted to do it for extra protection for the cars. A parking garage is classified as S-2 Storage under the IBC, while an office is B, which requires a 1-hour separation when the building has fire sprinklers (the Business occupancy is actually the higher hazard compared to S-2). A factory or warehouse S-1 occupancy actually requires no fire separation from an adjoining Group B office area.
1
@TheSmokingTire must be a local code thing. The International Building Code classifies parking garages as S-2, while M is Mercantile (retail stores etc.). Looks like the City of LA has their own municipal code, based on the California Building Code, which I'm sure is more stringent than the IBC.
1
I'm gonna guess use the product that he recommended in the video on the seatbelts, the Shag spray stuff.
1
12:45 Larry man how tall are you?? Good Lord man the Ford Edge is 69" tall and your shoulder is nearly roof height! I'm 5'11, our Mazda CX-5 is only 65" tall and I still have to use a step ladder to reach the top center of the roof. That's the main thing that makes washing the car take so damn long, having to move the ladder all around to reach everything.
1
Bri An and apparently you have a problem understanding geometry.
1
@brian1157 only if you're not too moronic to understand what I'm talking about.
1
Keith R more likely just B roll from months before.
1
Chris Fix and Pan The Organizer both have engine detailing videos. Pan just posted one a few weeks ago.
1
Absolutely stunning is about all I can say. Has it been or will it be featured in any magazines? It definitely should!
1
Simon Wright and then buffs it out to probably make it look even better than before.
1
Man, so much amazing work done on the car, it’s a shame those headlights have no more UV protection. They should have been 2K clearcoated after the 1500 grit sanding. 800 grit would have been even better.
1
Doug Doug gonna be a shit ton more hard ass work. Gotta bust your ass to get to this level.
1
Besides the construction issues of trying to install fuel tanks on-site, it would likely change and/or add a different occupancy type to the building, which would likely increase design and construction costs quite a bit. No real point to doing that when there's an actual fuel station so close.
1
Not if you have $20K paint to begin with.
1
Why, do you look like a criminal? They're just basic hazardous material cleaning supplies, suitable for any sort of demolition, cleaning or restoration work in houses or anything else. I mean, that's why they sell the stuff.
1
well that sucks man, people are assholes. But that doesn't make me a dumb ass. Yes I have been judged by cops for how I look and the car I was driving.
1
wow that's uh.. quite the wing there on that... Oldsmobile Aurora lol
