They'll take over, piss off everyone, people will leave the church, blame the people in power, and a revolution will end with their heads coming off. If Christianity wants to survive, they NEED a secular government. There is no religion called Christianity, it's a blanket term that covers THOUSANDS of denominations, many totally antithetical to one another, and not one would be happy if a different denomination were in charge.

  36. While I think Santorum is wrong about most everything, he is right that pure democracy is a bad idea. There's a reason our founding fathers made this nation a representational republic. People should be allowed to make personal decisions, private decisions, decisions that affect them. They shouldn't be allowed to make decisions that affect everyone else. Rights can't be up for a vote, lest people vote to take yours away. We can't put EVERYTHING on the ballot for people to decide. Yes, our system is corrupt, but replacing it with a worse system won't help anyone.
