@walterCronkitesleftshoe6684 so you would have used nuclear bombs on cities and murdered hundreds of thousands of people What a psycopath
2
@Warszawski_Modernizm Fascinating to hear about - this is never mentioned in the West We grew up believing we had saved Poland and the rest of Europe from tyranny
2
@ronmaximilian6953 so why did France and England not declare war on the USSR? It invaded Poland at the same time as Germany
2
There's a statue of Churchill in Jerusalem
2
No historian will go there The one's that do lose their careers
2
I think we'll never know, we have all been force fed a certain image of him for so long German people seemed to genuinely love him, even after the war, and German people seem pretty rational to me
2
"It's hard to feel sorry for a country that supported a man and a political machine that murdered tens of millions of innocent men, women, children and babies in country after country" Yet we did just that by allying with Stalin - then we allowed him to enslave half of Europe
2
Nothing we are told about that war is true
2
Stalin killed millions also and went on to enslave half of Europe, but we allied with him
2
Fake picture at 05:48
2
You talking about stalin?
2
I guess because he dramatically improved living standards in just a few years
2
"We killed altogether about 400,000 Germans,* one third of them in the two fire storms in Hamburg and Dresden. The Dresden fire storm was the worst. But from our point of view it was only a fluke. We attacked Berlin sixteen times with the same kind of force that attacked Dresden once. We were trying every time to raise a fire storm. There was nothing special about Dresden except that for once everything worked as we intended. It was like a hole in one in a game of golf.† Unfortunately, Dresden had little military importance, and anyway the slaughter came too late to have any serious effect on the war." Freeman Dyson, British Bomber Command
2
Any Americans viewers might be shocked to learn that historian David Irving was sent to prison for what he wrote I suggest finding his books for free online
2
OK for Great Britain to have the world's largest ever empire OK for the USSR to enslave half of Europe Not OK for Germany to invade Poland at the same time as the USSR
2
Blaming WWI on Germany now as well are we? The Allies can do no wrong it appears...
2
@MrSwj2009 You realize that the Nazis didn't exist during WWI? Take a step away from the propaganda
2
By that logic you could do absolutely anything and claim its justified
2
@501sqn3 Right - so by your logic it's OK to wipe entire cities off the face of the planet, to literally burn to death hundreds of thousands of women, children and refugees Ok thanks psycho
2
Stalin did the same - but most people seem to agree he left of the spectrum
2
If that sounds horrible, you should read about the British empire and the USSR
2
Freeman Dyson resigned over Dresden - worth reading
2
Why would you idolize a Georgian who murdered tens of millions of Russians?
1
@dirgsuite5546 no, I think the winners write the history books
1
The USSR murdered tens of millions of its own citizens, put millions more in death camps, and invaded dozens of countries before the war even started They then went on to enslave half of Europe - yet you claim they were the good guys and did no real harm
1
Freeman Dyson worked for bomber command, as did the others that people have quoted
1
The US started multiple wars this century alone
1
Just another propaganda channel
1
He's no David Irving
1
@markaxworthy2508 Yeah, because he's an evil nazi, my TV told me so
1
You should focus on telling us about aspects of battles during the war - you're really good at that When you stray into political and economic territory, you may as well be a BBC mouthpiece Guess it has to be that way to keep your channel, so I sympathize, you're not responsible for the censorship so I don't blame you
1
The great patriotic enslavement of half of Europe led by a despised Georgian dictator
1
They never gave the UK or anywhere in Europe total war
1
@exeexecutor Germany wanted peace with Europe and tried endlessly to get it
1
@exeexecutor you seem to be very happy about the Dresden thing, good for you
1
@codieomeallain6635 fair enough
1
Who cares about Jews?
1
@marine5166 They declared war on Germany - supposedly for invading Poland But the USSR also invaded Poland at the same time and occupied it for 50 years So that looks like nothing but a pretext
1
@FreeIsraelll no one knew about that then, it wasn't mentioned anywhere until after the war
1
@FreeIsraelll how very old testament of you
1
@FreeIsraelll at that point no one knew, so logically it makes no sense
1
@CB-fz3li Did you miss the bit where he decided to ally with the USSR and later held a conference where he agreed to give Stalin half of Europe? This isn't hard to read about
1
@CB-fz3li The conference was at Yalta - where the map of Europe was officially carved up by the so called 'allies' But of course the decision to give Stalin a huge part of Europe was made much earlier in principal How can you justify allying with the USSR when it had murdered tens of millions of people, created a gulag police state, and invaded dozens of countries (including Poland)?
1
@CB-fz3li So losing half of Europe to Stalin was a necessary evil? A man who had killed tens of millions of people, enslaved tens of millions more, and invaded dozens of countries before the war had even started? And the reason Germany was so much more evil was because they invaded Poland? Even though the USSR also invaded Poland at the same time? Of course Stalin had already occupied much of Europe, he was our ally and we did everything we could to help him and had agreed in principle that he would massively expand the USSR via the war
1
@CB-fz3li we were only at war with Germany because we decided to declare war on Germany Supposedly over Poland, but Stalin invaded it at the same time Germany had no desire of any kind to fight the British empire
1
@CB-fz3li Well that worked out well didn't it - we started a world war over bloody Poland Which ended up with us losing half of Europe (including Poland) to Communism And also ended up with Britain becoming a third rate satellite nation of the USA Then we pretended it was a victory for us and freedom in general, lol
1
lol
1
The same Russian historians who blamed the Katlyn Forest massacre on Germany? Those guys?
1
Britain had a far larger empire though
