  11. i think the opposite . i think giving up nuclear weapons was the absolute worst decision ukraine ever made . i would advise the breakaway republics to secure the nukes on their territory . they can destroy some but keep about 100 tactical nukes not ICBM's . they need that to stay independent from russia.

  14. in 2014 in ukraine it was the same reason. yanukovich announced they were no longer going to seek membership in the EU but would make some alliance with moscow. the people wanted to be in the EU not with russia.

  17.  @zulubeatz1  they are finding huge deposits everywhere . it's not a rare mineral. cobalt which is used in some batteries is much more rare. plus nickel is a much greater percent of batteries that use it than lithium

  24. yes i have been saying this since the war started. in 2014 they took crimea and claimed 200 miles in all directions of the black sea even though by rights those should be ukrainian rights . russia should get like 20 miles going west and east from crimea. in 2014 they siezed the drilling rigs that shell was using to explore ukrainian gas fields in black sea.

  37. probably most of the cost is the military equipment most of it was inventory. so they didn't actually spend much except the soldier salaries , if they actually pay them. the cost will be later to replace the equipment and there is cost in iraqi drones and north korean artillery shells, but russia still gets close to a billion a day from oil and gas sales.

  41. some other news that's not good. according to Inside Russia the russian govt has passed a law that anyone who is delinquent in payments to the govt can work off their debt by joining the military and fighting in ukraine. the list of unemployed delinquent men 35 -45 yrs old is 13 MILLION men. so this is an endless group of males that the kremlin can grab and press into service. sure they are likely a bunch of drunks , but there are millions of them . more cannon fodder.
