in the past in ny state whenever we changed insurance companies we get a notice within a couple days that we are in violation because our comp policy has been dropped. so we have to have our new insurance send a letter to ny workers comp. the explanation is that ny state funds the section that tracks notices of policy terminations with many people but the section that registers new policies is understaffed . the first dept generates revenue. the second, not.

no business has to take returns . only thing may be a warranty. i'm not sure anyone has to have a warranty . or it could be a 7 day warranty or something like that. on ebay anything with shipping always says buyer pays return shipping.

@dh510 that sounds terrible. what's to stop someone from ordering say shoes in 3 sizes or with women dresses in 5 sizes , try them on and return what doesn't fit. terrible for the environment . and a large percentage of returns can't be resold because the package got opened . the only returns that should be full refund is defective item. so can i buy 3 tesla's online which is the only way they sell them and then return them for no reason?

if that roofer had the phone in his pocket and any other tools or even a knife in the same pocket it could easily crack the glass. happened to my iphone even though it was in an otterbox . they can't cover the screen with thick glass to protect it. mine only cracked a bit around the home button and i don't care. but i stopped putting it into my workclothes pocket.

with a john deere tractor most of the time there is a sensor malfunctioning that causes it to break down. so they should be forced to provide a diagnostic that tells the user on the screen such and such sensor is malfunctioning . and give the ability to bypass the sensor if it's not a critical thing. otherwise it identifies the part no and the farmer can order it wherever he wants.

for a motor the answer is a motor repair place that can rewind it , change bearings , machine shafts etc. not a solution for right to repair but for a motor a solution. i am dealing with this right now on a Haas machining center. the spindle motor blew a bearing. The solution from Haas is buy a new motor at 6999.00 then modify the machine with a drill and tap to make it fit because they no longer use the original motor. we got it out and are having it repaired. likely around 1500.

your hopefully last battle with ny state will be to prove you no longer have to pay ny income tax. you need to cut all ties with ny that could be used to call you a resident. one rich guy who left got nabbed because he still had a hunting license that he paid for as resident rather than out of state.

so what does ny do if you work remote for a company not based in ny. i mean if you live in ny but work online for an out of state company. so the opposite of louis talks about. then by their reasoning you should not pay ny income tax.

@Brometheus420 to me youtube is way more valuable than any streaming service since i don't watch fiction or have television or watch movies. so i paid the 13.99 but think it is too high vs what they would get from me if i watched the ads. but there is no way i will watch ads. i also fast forward any sponsors the creator pushes. i'm too old to waste time on ads.

i think you are too obsessed with this . yes it's good for youtube content but really you should not pursue legal action in my opinion. it will be an ultra frustration and in the end you will only get at most the satisfaction of winning. they will not award any money that would be worth it. move on with your life and build up your business .

there is a local electronics repair facility not a storefront . i have used them to repair some ge fanuc servo drives a couple times. their deal is they evaluate and gurantee they can repair it for the price quoted or you can have your item back no fee. also no diagnostic fee either. so they have done some of these for our company at $1500 each. ge returned them saying non repairable but these guys fixed them. the last one they did when i plugged it all back in it smoked literally smoke came out. took it back to them . 2 weeks later they said it's not fixable . so i didn't need to pay. them's the breaks. lucky i had more drives so this was a backup. since then we stopped doing the process so didn't need them any more. i would use them again for other repairs. they are not a retail repair business so maybe it's different.

about 10 years ago we rebuilt a cnc router with new drives and a control from mach motion. well it is piggybacked onto microsoft windows . many times microsoft would do an update and the machine would not work the next day. we finally removed wifi and any connection to the internet for the thing and it became mostly reliable. it doesn't need updates to run the machine but comes connected .

you need your insurance company to send them the proof that you had compensation insurance at the time they are talking about. paperwork from you is not proof you had insurance. that's how it works. i usually get my agent to send it to them and cc me with it.
