  26. several thoughts. if geico defended this in the first place that would be a precedent and could force insurance companies to defend all sorts of stupid suits. doesn't matter if they win lawyers cost money. so if geico loses this can insurers be forced to cover all kinds of non car related suits just because they happened in a car. say a white person calls a black person a racial slur. black person sues gets a judgement and now insurance is forced to pay??
