in all the yammering i hear very little about rebuilding with fireproof materials like reinforced concrete. all those infernos looked like massive bonfires of wood. stop using wood . build with steel studs instead of wood or use reinforced concrete . there are businesses out there that will frame an entire house with galvanized metal formed and cut on site from a roll of steel. they have machines like the seamless gutter machines that can spit out metal studs on any length and size. you can't afford to rebuild with wood.

the movie contract gave them 4% of the net profits. i'm shocked they actually paid out 767,00 dollars . usually there are never any net profits and most people who sign such a contract get nothing. the producers must have slipped up. as for the rest of these allegations i have no idea. some forensic accounting will establish who got what money . i suspect there won't be a bunch of money like he thinks.

i favor the proportional apportionment of electors. if the candidate get 43% of the vote in a state give him/her as close to 43% as can be given and ave up. so if there are only 4 electors then 43% = 50% of the electors etc. that is the closest compromise. it would change how elections are run. in NY we almost never get any ads for president because it's a dem state and very little campaigning is done here. that would change if every vote mattered. also turnout would increase as well.

sounds like the woman got about 10 - 15k. so the lawyer fees can easily eat that. in the meantime the guy gave her scratch off as a tip. so almost all the time he gave her no tip since almost all of the scratchoffs were worthless.

tik tok was used massively to affect the election in romania NEGATIVELY . a guy no one heard of who was a puppet of the kremlin somehow got the most votes. all because of a campiagn the russians orchestrated on tik tok. that is why it and similar apps need to be banned in any democratic country. it's not about your data . it's about brainwashing YOU to do things that a foreign adversary finds useful. like stirring up large protests against military actions carried out by our forces to favor the enemy. and yes we have enemies . it's no joke.

it would be outrageous if a new dem candidate was barred from being on the ticket in a bunch of states. states were not able to keep trump off so how would they justify keeping the dem candidate off. couldn't a bunch of dem states them just take trump off the ballot as a counter move?

yes absolutely. most countries campaigns are 2 months or less. and in most countries they are not preplanned like here in the us. it's actually monotonous having it prescribed every 2 years and 4 years.

i think musk's lawyers are filing the suit and have come up with the arguments . i doubt musk himself dictated any of the particulars. i would bet his legal people told him they have a good case to get the 90 million back.n the other hand if this goes in front of a judge who is a lawyer as well what will he / she think of a lawyer not getting a payday?? are there any judges who are not lawyers? is this a jury trial?
