  8. i think we should have a carrier group over in the gulf. you have iran seizing ships so that's not good. we also need to defend the us dollar as the world currency. if brics succeeds in dethroning the dollar it will have huge negative economic impact for the usa. biden and the dems were all on board to punish the saudis over killing that journalist while trump was pragmatic and basically looked the other way. i could even see him privately telling the saudi's that hey you guys screwed up in your assassination so now you need a dog and pony show to " punish the perpetrators" . it's in our interest to maintain good ties with saudi as much as we don't want to but reaaly have to.

  28. they weren't repelled . they said they could have gone to the city of belgorod but they never planned to go that far as they originally expected more resistance. they didn't have enough supplies to go that far. and at one point there were about 500 fighters between the 2 groups . they retreated on their own as it was only supposed to be a couple day operation.

  38. this is why ukraine needs F-16's 6 months ago. they should have got all the new weapons a long time ago. in that time russia has built formidable defenses all along the south . now it is very hard fighting to penetrate. and russia uses their helicopters to fire missiles at ukraine's tanks and armored vehicles from like up to 10 km away. so they can't even use manpads against that. despite all this they are gaining ground every day slowly.

  44. getting F-16's opens up a huge choice of potential missiles they can use . for starters they can knock out russian helicopters from 150 miles away . the helicopters have been a big problem for ukrainian forces on the front line. they can destroy armor from 15 miles away so way before ukraine can use any manpads against them.
