Who was this "movie" made for?! Most of us who grew up loving the original animated movie, especially Nigerians like me, didn't ask for a race-swapped, poorly written, and nonsensical plot live-action version of Little Mermaid! Honestly, this just insulting and pathetic and disney and co trying to use the "diversity" excuse and accusing anyone critical of this turd as a racist is just disgusting. I hope it bombs. I'll stick with my blu-ray of the original.

3:37 So lemme get this straight: She invented a portal device to another dimension but she can't invent a device to, say, turn empty cans into silver or gold and give that to the homeless or something? But she is also an activist who wants socialism and to help the homeless?🤔🤔 Woke people cannot write stories at all........

Didn't bother watching the show at all. Got better things to do like work, college finals and I actually have better Star Wars content in the Clone Wars show, Fallen Order games and EU books to enjoy😌 No disney slop for me. I am done with disney star wars and the toxic identity politics, garbage writing, and antagonism towards fans. I refuse to engage with that rubbish. I've been a Star Wars fan since my Nigerian childhood and i will continue to be one because Lucas era shows and movies and the expanded universe.

Glad to see the tide turning against these woke parasites and they can't use their insults and smears against us anymore. Dev of ShortFatOtaku correctly said that the usual tactic of accusing us of being racist is no longer working because we have had a decade plus of being used to that tactic

6:25 They actually brought back the dead movie trope of the sky portal?! That shit is 2010s stuff!

@VicecrackVoldermort well said. Most of us just want to enjoy entertainment.

Capitalism will fix the woke progressive rot.

This will be the first movie I will be seeing since the pandemic started almost 3 years ago and it will be first movie I will be seeing since I saw JOKER. It looks to be everything I want in entertainment: No wokeness (I am black and I cannot tell you how much I hate wokeness), historical accuracy, multifaceted characterisation, good portrayals of male characters etc! I am so excited!

@slashbash1347 Yeah, that actually makes sense. I figured since Aku also conquered a few planets close to earth he enslaved those species and forced them to reside on earth.

How do you mess up a show about lesbians in skin-tight latex suits?! Easy: Make them woke and wetsern

I have not watched Invincible yet but now I am really interested in it. So nice to see that western animation is still good (none of that cal arts trash) and the hero's journey is still being told well (no sign of woke garbage in this show). I have a question: Is the comic book even better? I wanna buy them but I am not sure because I don't read American comics anymore because of recent issues and woke trash being pushed.
