@hlengiwemasondo2858 Also, on the issue of tribalism, it's weird that you claim my country's tribalism is somehow worse than that of most African countries. Yes,it is sad we have that division but you really can't compare us to some others like say Ethiopia and Sudan for example. Both are.more culturally homogeneous and yet they are having civil wars with brutal acts like rapes, beheadings, and torture. I am grateful my country doesn't have any of this. We may have tribalism here but our national unity is better than in many other African countries but if you feel safer elsewhere, please take a trip to South Africa, Sudan, Congo, Ethiopia, Libya etc. You'll see what tribalism really is.

Agreed. They really have no excuse as a country. Botswana and Namibia are next to them. Both have less land and resources than SA but both are among the most politically stable, economically well managed, less corrupt, and have great infrastructure. South Africa is a joke of a country and most of us in Africa are genuinely ashamed for them because of their wasted potential.

I only mentioned the countries that are regressing to be objective and show that I, and most Africans, are not ignorant of our own continental reality. We know we still have many issues here and the countries I listed are proof but, as I also stated, we are not stupid (as you are) to pretend that no progress has, and is been made here. You claim by 2030 my country will regress without any proof or objective statistics and yet I am the one "coping"? Funny, Elon Musk literally chose Nigeria as teh firs country in Africa to receive Star Link instead of his own birth country of SA, yet you think my country will fail in 2030? about 7 years?🤔🤔 Look, you think what you want to think and bluster all you want. Reality is reality, not what we like to pretend it is. We know our reality in Africa and how much we need to improve and also how much we have improved. I suppose you actually believe all of Africa is still stuck in the 1800s and has made no economic, political, cultural, or social progress. @Tespri congrats to Singapore, Hong Kong and others like them. That's the kind of progress we, in much of Africa, are working towards getting. That's why we are working with the same framework those countries you listed used i.e. western socioeconomic and cultural systems like democracy, capitalism and liberalism. We have obviously not gotten there yet (largely due to our poor leadership and sociocultural issues) but we made a lot of progress and we are determined to get there. On a sidenote, it is terrible how the authoritarian CCP is now undoing all the progress that Hong Kong worked to achieve. I only pray the good people of Hong Kong survive this.

Friend, please consider that South Africa is neighbors with Botswana and Namibia both of whom have less land and resources but are among the most politically, socially, economically stable and productive countries in Africa with good infrastructure and black leadership. South Africa isn't failing because they are sub-Saharan African but because they are South Africa.

Not surprised this is happening in South Africa. That's what happens when country is run by Jack booted Marxist thugs. Botswana and Namibia are next to them and both have better infrastructure, better managed economies, and more stable politics despite having less land and resources. SA is a failure of a country

@carljacobs1287 Damn, that is really sad to know but also very informative. I had no idea the Zulu leadership actually was more moderate and might have done better for the country and even teh anti-education sentiment from many black communities surprises me, mainly because here in my country, education is actually something that is even culturally enforced. Thanks for sharing, sir. Also, I do hope the good people of SA make it. The ones I have met (white and black) are some of teh friendliest and kindest people. So sorry your country is held hostage by the evil ANC.

To those who will try to imply that South Africa failed because black people can't lead nations, before you do, as a Nigerian, let me offer some more context. Maybe consider that South Africa is neighbors with Botswana and Namibia, both of whom have some of the most politically stable and well managed economies in Africa, despite having less land and resources than South Africa. They also have better infrastructure and little corruption and they have black leadership. South Africa's problems are because of South Africa, not because they are black. Their leadership embraced Marxism, racialist ideals, and we're mainly strong-men thugs who came to power. Of course their country was doomed from the start.
