@mellie4174 I don't know. Maybe people who've had very few or no traumatic things happen to them. I've had a lot of shitty things happen to me (not a "brag..." Many were of my own doing), and I think I'm generally pretty understanding. For example, I find myself regularly standing up on the internet for people that are convicted of ugly crimes when folks get mad that the sentence is "only" 5 to 10 years or what have you. I argue that's a significant amount of time and we have to allow for the possibility that people change and there may be circumstances surrounding the crime a lot of us don't understand. Not to mention that a justice system should probably be unemotional and impartial. That's just an example and explaining it fully is difficult, but I hope you get the gist. I'm really trying not to turn this response into a short story. I do agree though that very often people who have experienced little to no trauma are often not very understanding. Some are though. People are complex. Life is hard. Do your best to be good to one another. Cheers.
