Jake thanks mate. I was a British English language consultant, in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I left March 2021, because of Putin even then; playing about on the borders.
I'm now in Alanya region; of the beautiful Med Sea climate. Today October 15th it was 25c π and no rain since March 10th.....heaven for an Englishman. (I'm from Kensington and Chelsea in London originally)
I have much experience about rashists.
On Odessa Black Sea beaches, in about 2019, prior to Covid restrictions.
They spoke to beach restaurant staff like dogs. Drunken, uncivilised, Bolshovik legacy; behaviour.
That woman's rude attitude, to the potential conscript. That's typical.
In Alanya, the cars are suddenly rashist number plates. As opposed to March, when they were Ukrainian.
There are many expats, from all over the world, here in Alanya. Many times, we've sat around outside cafes; and everyone speaks English. rashists can't join in, as they mostly don't. This makes them isolated and even then; they think we're all from Great Britain π Such is their backward thinking.
They speak to Turks, the same way as I described them behaving with Odessans.
I spose you can't educate pork.
Turks tolerate them and nothing more; as we all do.

Β @SrCoxasΒ We've never felt threatened by ANYONE. Fought Germany ALONE from 1939-41. Until USA came and helped. No doubt in my mind; that had they not. Then eventually, we'd have been speaking German. We defeated Germany in the Battle of Britain (RAF) of course, decimating the Luftwaffe. Plus the Royal Navy, inflicting massive, substantial wounds; to the Nazi navy.
However I think eventually, Hitler would have invaded successfully. He made a mistake invading USSR.
Weather beat him btw, don't listen to the USSR nonsense. They had little technology and bombers won the war; as Britain and USA did it 24/7, taking it in turns day and night. It was the first modern war and so UK and USA; softened up by destroying infrastructure. So the Soviets, who had a terrible airforce, had an easier entry to Berlin; from the East.
I was in the Royal Navy π¬π§ and in 1982; sailed ten thousand miles to take back the Falklands, from the fascist dictator General Galtieri.
USSR laughed at us, supporting Galtieri ironically (paradoxically) as they were communists.
Seven weeks later, Argentina were defeated. Then USSR crapped themselves. Thatcher was feared.
After all, USSR were still entranched in Afghanistan. LOSING!
I was a British English language consultant, in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I left on 31st March 2021, because of Putin even then; playing about on the borders.
So my friends, particularly in Odessa, told me about this USSR paranoid attitude to us π¬π§πΊπ²
It was discussed in great detail, all over the media; and in schools colleges etc.
Reagan wanted to flatten Russia; and at the time I disagreed. (Gorbachev after all, made friends etc.)
Now, I think if Reagan had, we'd have got rid of these troublesome nuisances.
I live in Alanya region in Turkey now, after I left Odessa Ukraine. Some of my friends in Kyiv and Odessa, have died because of Vladolf Putin.
Alanya gets around 324 sunny days a year. It's a beautiful Med Sea climate.
I'm from Kensington and Chelsea in London, originally.
I'll be watching London and indeed Britain; this weekend coming. As Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, celebrates 70 years on the throne. The whole of Great Britain gets four days off I think.
It'll be 33c here π in Alanya; as it has been for weeks.
Somehow I don't think it will be anywhere near that. In UK.
God bless π€ Queen Elizabeth.

I see lots of comments here, mainly from Americans.
So I'm going to slightly disagree, with the comments against Russia.
I used to be, a British English language consultant, in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I left on 31/3/21 because of Putin even then; playing about on the borders.
I now live in Alanya region, of the beautiful Med Sea climate.
So I have experience, of living in two countries, who were involved in that deal.
Plus I was in St Petersburg Russia many years ago; but I only worked there three months on an exchange deal. So it's not long enough, to form an opinion, just a view.
Only ten or so days ago. Prez Zelynski removed his TOP security official and Attorney General.
Their crime? Corruption. Possibly selling info to the Kremlin. Only three days before that, the Attorney General had been in the Hague. Lecturing about corruption. Putin got his way because he knows what makes Ukrainians tick.... MONEY.
The day of the signing, I said to my friend, someone will break this within a week.
There are a number of factors, to suggest it could have been anybody.
Firstly, it was broken just a few hours after the signing.
Secondly the MP in Odessa, asked for more arms to sink the Russian navy.
Thirdly, the powers of USA, EU and UK, didn't like it, that they were not included in this signing.
Well too bad....you should have asked.
Lastly, the BBC TV news, who I trust the most, for its overall impartiality (generally). Reported, there had been no visual proof, that two Russian missiles, had been shot down. Plus the remnants of others hadn't been shown either.
I watched the explosion filmed by a local person and uploaded on another channel.
The "strike" appears to be an incendiary device.
Looks something similar, to what I saw, when I served in the Royal Navy π¬π§ in the Falklands War.
So I've given you a different viewpoint.
Someone wanted to wreck that deal. It was so quickly also.
So these are the choices we need to look at:
SUB...(Ukraine) CIA MI6 Mossad FSB.
Take your pick. Out of those, the only ones to gain the most, is the first one.
Ukraine have got what they wanted. More arms.
Don't give them nukes. History shows they were made to give them up. You have to ask why.
I've travelled to 32 countries in my life.
Ukraine is the most corrupt. (I've just explained about the security chief; and the attorney general)
It's a badge of honour amongst them, to even pull a fast one; on friends or family members

Β @AnthonyBurtonΒ Okay thanks, you've re-educated me.
Thanks for reading what I've said.
I'm appreciative, that you've had problems with them.
In UK right now, I know of seven families, that have had things stolen by refugees.
They have a reputation, throughout Eastern Europe mostly.
A legacy of USSR, where even there, they were vilified for thievery.
I have a friend Sasha, who lives in Odessa. He's from Moldova originally.
In USSR, he was transferred to Odessa, as he was in the USSR Navy.
He told me, all other countries, within the USSR; wouldn't bunk with a Ukrainian.
They were put in together.
Recently a YouTube was posted by them, that God knows, how many Hollywood stars, had Ukrainian blood. Leonardo DiCaprio got very irritated by that.
I found seven people who weren't.
Simple Wikipedia information
Another that Queen Elizabeth 2 of π¬π§ was Ukrainian, somewhere along the line.
Please access:
"Dead Souls" A novel by Nikolai Gogol.
It's interesting to see, why they indeed, appear to have none...(Russians included)
I could actually write a book, about what I saw.
I don't condone Putin, for what he's done.
Absolutely not.
However, we are unable to comment I believe, on other matters that are annoying him.
Matters of money owed for example.
Let's just leave it like that.
