On a scale of 9 to 10, how dumb would you say you are?
7
It’s more like a hypothesis - a very bad one
5
@Globeisahoax No you haven't, none of you knob ends have. You've watched idiotic videos where you get told that there are wires even though you never actually see them. That's because they don't exist.
5
Why would there be turbulence?
5
Perhaps medieval times is where you belong? Something tells me you’d fit right in.
5
@xx_360noscop_xx5 The sad thing is that this is how he spends his days - writing one dumb comment after another on multiple flat earth videos. He has been doing this for months, probably years.
5
Are they really trying though? If so they're doing a spectacularly bad job. 99% of flat earthers don't even attempt to prove what they're saying (probably because they can't) - they just like arguing for the sake of being annoying.
5
I don’t know if the proportion of dumb vs intelligent people has changed but there are now more of both with the added bonus that stupid people now have a global audience via the internet. 30 years ago they were just that nutter on the street corner babbling nonsense that you avoided making eye contact with.
4
@Globeisahoax the irony …
4
KanqyesVEVO yes you can “debuck” it. It’s really not that hard. The southern celestial pole - easy as that.
4
Proving earth is a sphere is relatively simple. Proving we are moving through space is someone more challenging but there are ways to do it. That information is out there, you only have to look.
4
That’s a load of rubbish
4
If that’s the best question then the bar has been set pretty low …
4
@kye741 I wouldn't call myself an expert but I have a general interest in astronomy. You can learn about this stuff yourself if you want to. Even a basic knowledge of astronomy makes it fairly clear that flat earth is complete nonsense! Just the simple fact that two people standing a few thousand km apart will see the moon from the exact same phase an angle should be enough to tell you that it can't possibly be a local object like flat earthers say - and if they miss something as glaringly obvious as that, then chances are they're not worth paying any attention to!
4
Yep. Belief in flat earth is stupid.
4
I believe the term is “projecting”
3
Have you considered the possibility that you might be an idiot?
3
KanqyesVEVO as far as hypotheses go, flat earth is trivially easy to debunk
3
KanqyesVEVO I think you’ll find the word is “debunk”.
3
KanqyesVEVO ok. Sure.
3
KanqyesVEVO yep sure thing
3
I think it represents a shift away from acknowledging expertise to opinions, fanned largely by social media. Many people don’t want to take the time to learn, they just want quick answers that support their preconceived ideas.
3
Which passage refers to earth is being flat? And why would you treat the Bible has a scientific text book?
3
@glennrobards585 you can’t see or feel a virus enter your body - by your logic believing viruses exist is stupid. Has it occurred to you that maybe it’s not everyone else who is stupid?
3
@glennrobards585 avoiding the question? Why is that?
3
Do you run screaming in terror any time someone mentions two thirds of something?
3
@Globeisahoax Says the guy who spouts off ignorant nonsense he got off Youtube on a daily basis.
3
No one cares about your delusional crap
3
@Globeisahoax No one cares
3
@ppchannel2521 KangenAlec is what’s known as an idiot.
3
How is Polaris a globe destroyer when it disproves the flat earth model. Thinking isn’t really your forte is it?
3
@kye741 As others have pointed out, our current understanding of the heliocentric model (which is our generally accepted without any real doubt to be our physical reality) is that we should see the moon during the day during it's waning stages which is half of it's 29 day cycle. To answer your last couple of questions, in Australia you would see the same thing as you see in England, just at different times. So in other words if the moon is say a waning crescent and seen during the day in Australia, in England you would also see the same phase of the moon and, for all intents and purposes, the same angular distance from the sun.
3
@TheMoth4 notice how he never answers a question directly? This idiot spends his days trying to get people to visit flat earth channels. He’s been trolling videos like this for months, probably years. I’m pretty sure it’s all he does. Kinda sad and pathetic really.
3
@connortracy9544 there are no “good” flat earth videos. A good flat earth video would be one that presented actual proof with a model that explained basic observations. But no, all you get are obvious con artists (either that or clueless morons) cherry picking and talking utter bollocks about things they don’t understand.
3
@connortracy9544 I’m afraid that doesn’t mean earth is flat. Have you not seen ships, mountains, etc. sink below the horizon as you get further away?
3
@connortracy9544 There are no laws of perspective that explain why an object would sink below the horizon. It's fairly simply explained by the fact that Earth is a sphere though.
3
There's nothing wrong with questioning things. It's when you're not interested in the answers that it becomes an issue.
3
YouTube has a policy of not promoting misinformation so their videos won’t generally come up with a search unless you specify their channel name. I don’t want to promote misinformation either but if you watch debunking channels like SciMan Dan or FTFE you will find plenty of names you can look up. But let me save you some time - they don’t have one iota of proof for their pizza world, they generally just try to denigrate mainstream science with blatant cherry picking and woefully ignorant misunderstandings of science.
3
Z Richington they’re not censoring flat earth videos. They publicly stated that their algorithm which generates user’s recommended viewing would be altered to not include videos with deliberately misleading content. I would say flat earth videos fall squarely in that category given that it’s obvious nonsense.
3
Does it bother you at all that comments like this make Christians look like morons?
3
@Globeishoax what evidence do you have that these military forces exist? Let me guess, none whatsoever?
3
Flat earth deserves nothing less than ridicule.
3
@Globeisahoax yeah it kinda does. It means objects accelerate towards the centre of mass. You have no way of explaining that without gravity. And laws of gravity dictate that any sufficiently large planet will form a spheroid.
3
Look kids, it’s an idiot!
3
Atmospheric refraction - there is plenty of information online about it
3
@reeyonarya1522 The earth rotates at 1 revolution per day. It's not measured in miles per hour. There are many ways we know beyond any real doubt that we are orbiting the sun, too many to list here, but it has nothing to do with brainwashing and everything to do with what the evidence points to. There is a reason geocentricism was abandoned hundreds of years ago. I'd suggest you look up Cool Hard Logic's excellent series on debunking geocentricism if you genuinely believe in it.
3
Where did you hear this bullshit?
3
We’ve known earth is a globe for over 2000 years, that’s not exactly a new idea. Apart from the points already raised, if earth was flat we’d see all stars rotating around a single point which would be viewable from everywhere on earth. That’s not even remotely what we observe in reality - we have a two celestial poles, each only visible from either hemisphere - just as you would expect on a globe. I could go on but I’m sure you get the picture.
3
@Globeisahoax and the dumbest comment of the day goes to …
3
The truth points to you being a moron
