Safety was that cars great great grandkid

Or both?

Get a roof
1
He’d have to install a PTO and a 3 point hitch for that to work
1
My dad has a kobelco excavator, it’s smaller but still a good machine
1
I’d suggest getting a key for it
1
@ethanspaziani5269 true
1
@ethanspaziani5269 we would have to get the backhoe to a repair shop to deal with the engine either way
1
@ethanspaziani5269 it really depends on what breaks down and if you know how to maintain it
1
I thought something like this would be bigger?

@DieselCreek one question though, why not use some of your equipment to help moving the compactor when you were trying to start it? I’m only asking because doing something like that can mess your back up. I’ve hurt my back a few times moving heavy objects (sometimes even when I had help) and I’m only 30.

I can attest to your statement about the case 1845C’s, they are durable work horses
1
Sounds like it could’ve been the Marion 6360 (The Captain) or the Marion 5960-M (Big Digger)

I ran into a dozer situation a few weeks ago when my dad’s F350 got stuck in some mud, the dozer did it’s job perfectly

I hear that. I actually had to do something like that today while loading appliances into the back of my dad’s truck using his skid steer, I had to figure out a way to climb out of the machine while the arm was raised with a load on the fork attachment (I had to do this since I was loading the truck up on my own). I kinda wish that I used the tractor instead of the skid steer (the tractor also had forks attached), I did still wind up using the tractor to load one of the appliances that I am recycling
1
Funny because my dad’s 2016 F350 can charge through the cigarette lighter outlets even when the truck is off
1
For me it’s probably both since I do work with my dad’s machines but I do enjoy using them a lot of the time. Unfortunately most of my dad’s machines do have damage on them but they do still run with the only exceptions being my dad’s Komatsu excavator (can’t swing and went off one of it’s tracks due to the tensioners/tighteners not working) and the Case 580B Backhoe (I accidentally ran it too low on engine oil and it started knocking but it isn’t leaking engine oil since I put some in it after I realized it was knocking and the oil level hasn’t gone down since). My dad and I are going to be trying to fix the excavator up soon and we will probably need to get a new battery or two for it
1
@CAPNMAC82 he didn’t need one
1
I can definitely agree and I’m only in my 30’s, I’ve hurt my back moving heavy stuff (sometimes even with help). Definitely a good idea to use equipment when moving stuff that weighs 100-200+ pounds when possible
1
@edpoints1127 that’s why I got a spare tire holder replacement kit for my dad’s 2016 F350, that way I can deal with any tire problems on the truck. it had the roadside kit, it just needed the part that holds the tire under the truck (plus the hardware to mount it to the truck)
1
I definitely agree, I run into that whenever I have to grease my dad’s machines and on of the fittings doesn’t want to take grease or get cleaned out
1
Merry Christmas to you too but Santa doesn’t need to send me bulldozers since my dad and I already have one
