@mrspiff6955 The OP just goes to show the embarrassment of a fanbase this sport has. I've never seen boxing fans care more about a press conference than the actual fight.
11
@eddiehauser6661 That's an average of 3 fights a year. Bare in mind that nearly all of those fights are championship fights. He's paid his dues to combat sports yet incels online want to disrespect him.
11
I mean you look like that, are we really surprised by this comment?
11
Imagine if Adesanya said that exact same thing. You shameless hypocrites would skin him alive for it. Embarrassment.
10
@ajax3748 Why didn't you counter all the other things he said? Probably because you know it's true.
10
It's only in MMA where you see fans disrespect fighters who have given so much to the sport and improved the quality. This is why this sport will never grow enough globally nor will it surpass boxing.
10
@stephanswanepoel2448 It's only you nerds that read into nonsense like that
10
@omarikissi5708 Calls somebody a slave owner but when asked to provide evidence, you have nothing to say. Typical mugu.
10
Kyle Mee, the little goblin. Don't worry son, one of these days we'll bump into eachother in London. I hope you keep that same energy that you have online.
10
If Usman wins this and beats Strickland, I'm curious to see what Adesanya does next.
10
Du Plessis 2, 3 & 4. The apex has missed Strickland. I'm thinking he could welcome Khamzat to the division. What do you think?
9
@jamesthompson9003 The obsessed wasteman spouting nonsense as usual. Never lost to Romero or Whittaker. When you're done crying, you can go back to watching Adesanya's channel with the rest of us.
9
That's all you can do. Imagine... Accept the defeat and move on. I know it pains you to see Izzy's success just liked it pains you to see Jon Jones, Francis Ngannou, Jahmal Hill, Kamaru Usman, Leon Edwards and Aljamain Sterling's successes. Cry harder.
9
What evidence is there to suggest Usman doesn't fight well on the backfoot?
9
@bansnabs5523 Are you ok? Francis Ngannou was born and raised in Cameroon. He left the country at the age of 26. Kamaru Usman was born and raised in Nigeria up until 8 years old. Israel Adesanya was born in Nigeria and raised in Nigeria and Ghana until aged 10/11 before moving to New Zealand. So explain to us how none of them lived in Africa genius?
9
@ZakiBTW Lmfao, no he didn't bud. Nice try though.
9
"He took it too far." This is coming from a person and people that support all the crass things Covington, Strickland and McGregor say about people's parents, race, family, religion and culture. Do me a favour.
8
Reverse the roles and you wouldn't give an absolute toss about anything good Jones did if he lost. Same way you people disregarded Adesanya's incredible performance at 281 because he got TKO'd in the last round by Pereira. Give it a break and stop trying to take attention away from the victor when he doesn't look like yours.
8
Foolish comment.
8
Yeah you folk usually "like" fighters like Israel until they become champion.
8
@xxxbiggiepacwrldjohn6233 Pretty sure he didn't "just get beat" by Jan. The fight happened nearly three years ago in the division up. Secondly, I know you aren't that smart so I'll explain what I meant by my comment. If Du Plessis beats your father Strickland, he wants to and will likely fight Adesanya next. Since your boy Stricky would've lost, you'll jump on the next great hope that you believe will beat Adesanya. Do you get it now big brain? Or do you need another explanation?
8
You're acting as if Du Plessis is some 110lbs guy. He's much bigger and stronger than Whittaker. I would be surprised if he couldn't Judo throw him.
8
Colonisers and their descendants are usually proud of their work.
8
@markbensley138 Everything I've said is factual. It's evidently you making things up just as you did by saying Israel wasn't born in Africa, even though he was born in Nigeria. Stop lying to yourself. Dricus Du Plessis literally said in a press conference "I'M the African fighter in the UFC, me and Cameron (Saaiman)." Just by that statement alone, he implied that Israel, Francis and Kamaru aren't Africans despite the fact they were all born and raised. Also are ethnically, culturally, ancestrally African unlike your boy that is a descendant of French-Huguenots from France.
8
@thesultanofveracity9943 Dricus grew up in an upper middle class family in middle class Pretoria, Gauteng. He didn't grow up around any violence as somebody who would in the townships. He's more privileged than Israel. Do you even understand the history of South Africa and apartheid?
8
Seems like you will too. Both obsessed with a guy you hate.
8
@Slim-Clips Du Plessis lives in Pretoria, one of the wealthiest cities in the African continent. Stop talking as if he lives in the townships. Ridiculous comment.
8
@jboss8131 The irony of this comment is downright hilarious.
8
Says this whilst his brethren inhabit Australia and New Zealand as the majority population after deleting the indigenous. Obroni hypocrisy always makes me laugh.
7
@Brookigetit They won't because they're hypocrites. It's actually incredible how a people that literally inhabit: Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, South Africa As the MAJORITY (except SA) through either deletion or colonialism now have the nerve and audacity to complain about diversity.
7
I find it quite interesting that you and your folk will look at a fighter like Dricus Du Plessis and never accuse him of steroids or PEDs despite the fact he looks like Lou Ferrigno fighting at Middleweight but you place so much emphasis on Adesanya.
7
Written like a true fool.
7
@PublicEnemyMinusOne Ah yes, I'm sure the second greatest Middleweight of all time and one of the best P4P fighters ever with 5 title defences, 8 title wins, 12 fight win streak and best resume in his division's history is suffering, lmfao. We all know who the greats are. Enjoy your fifteen minutes of fame.
7
@ryuqt5082 Francis Ngannou saw much worse. I never saw anybody throwing a pity party for him. Strickland's upbringing isn't unique or special. Millions of people across the globe experience the same thing.
7
Says the European to another, lmfao.
7
@jamesthompson9003 In Nigeria, it is very common for middle class families to have people that help them in their home. Those "servants" as you put it are considered part of the family and receive an education whilst living in the city. So before spreading misinformation on a country that you know nothing about, maybe do your research instead on being a charlatan.
7
@MrToadGaming Whittaker never beat Adesanya. Stop embarrassing yourself.
7
Usual suspects crying robbery when it doesn't go their way.
7
@ron.hertzberg Kamaru Usman, Israel Adesanya, Themba Gorimba, Marc Diakese, Manel Kape, David Onama, Sodiq Yusuff, Kenneth Nzechukwu and so many more are ALL African fighters and every single one of them were born in Africa. Stop this bs.
7
@scottc2076 Says this whilst he supports Strickland, Covington and McGregor. Lmfao.
6
@simonscowled9925 Son of Africa wouldn't answer a French surname and speaking a Dutch derived language. Son of Africa wouldn't also burn without sunscreen in natural sunlight.
6
About to witness the most ugliest title fight seen in the Middleweight division in years.
6
Do you feel better?
6
@2ZZGE100 Which he has all of that genius. You're literally confirming my point in your attempt to refute. He has explosive power, judo technique, huge size and strength. Whittaker's momentum and shift in weight during that sequence also helped Du Plessis with the throw. As I said already, not that impressive. But I get it, you have to praise your man, so go off. You took time to write this mini thesis to worship him, so I can understand why you would get defensive.
6
No mention of the man that actually cried? Your American hero.
6
Murphy has potential to crack top 6 in 1.5 years if he's consistent.
6
It's hilarious how some of you people are saying Silva when you also hated and discredited him during his prime.
6
@justsomeguy6474 No, he doesn't. Gtfoh.
6
@delsinmcgrath882 😂😂😂😂 So you're just going to write lies and then pass it off as truth? Looool. Can't even take you jokers seriously. He did deserve the title shot against Jan because that was a LHW fight and a Champ Vs Champ fight genius. That was Jan's first defence, so it's not as if he had been a reigning champion prior to the fight. Secondly, he beat Whittaker 48-47 and also beat Romero. Nice try though bud.
6
@ginocerda3290 Greatness is always hated on. Especially that of certain fighters.
