@scottschendel1223 Why would South African shorts piss off a Nigerian? You do realise Africa is a continent, not a country right?
6
I've got to give it to you, you're hilarious
6
@nickandrei51 Imagine an Eastern European that's ethnically Polish, moves to New Zealand and let's say a black person that was born and raised in Poland (rare, I know) and still lives there. Imagine what people would say if that black person told the ethnic Pole that they aren't Polish because they live abroad. Look at how stupid that is. That is exactly what Du Plessis did with Israel, Kamaru and Francis.
6
@Skip-pv5lw It wasn't rolling back but ok, lol
6
It is only power, lol. Jiri caught him with a 1-2 just like Adesanya did and Hill likely will. Having a left hook, calf kick and switch knee doesn't make you the best striker in the UFC.
6
Those are cornrows, not braids.
6
@lekehoxha6926 Oh be quiet. It's not every day scream robbery when your brethren lose a decision. He lost three rounds clear as day. Shouldn't have even gotten a title shot to begin with, yet I don't see anybody talking about that.
5
@brycefloom3345 Nothing about that performance was a "mauling." Stop over exaggerating it because you hate Adesanya.
5
Aljamain won Rounds 1, 3 & 4. He also landed more significant strikes in 4/5 rounds and did more damage both in and out of the clinch. Use stats and facts to make your argument, not your feelings and dislike for Sterling.
5
"Losses on his record adding up." Literally only has 3 losses and has the second longest win streak in Middleweight history and one of the most in UFC history. Adesanya joined the UFC in 2018. He didn't taste defeat until 2021 at light heavyweight and didn't taste it until 2022 in Middleweight. That's four years undefeated in his own division. Explain the "losses adding up" please?
5
@tungsten-iridium Nope. It's a result of your progenitors actions. You reap what you sow.
5
@gonzo2495 Take your emotions out of it. The guy is only good with his kicks. For the hype he got leading into this fight, he is very underwhelming. I'm not surprised that a mediocre fighter like Blood Diamond went to a decision with him.
5
@Brickwilliams No, he wasn't. A true champion is measured by defences not just winning the belt.
5
@Lolife86 Perhaps provide stats and facts to back your claim, not just your emotions.
5
@AlexM-mz7rx Cory Sandhagen and Sean O'Malley are the tallest fighters in the Bantamweight division but I've never seen any of your folk take exception with them. Same with Max Holloway at Featherweight. Not a single mention of that.
5
@robertomugabe11 We heard you the first one thousand times you embarrassment.
5
@jboi6398You're still crying because Cannonier beat your boy 4-1? Pathetic Strickland trick.
5
@Teller580 There is nothing that Adesanya has said that compares to the things Strickland has. Don't even try that. If Adesanya constantly talked about killing people, shot guns, used profanity constantly, insulted people's wives, families, countries and the deceased, you people would want him banned or even cut from the UFC. If he drove around Auckland threatening people in traffic and trying to pick fights with normal untrained citizens (including women) you would rightfully condemn him. The MMA fanbase is filled with disgusting hypocrites.
5
Put some respect on Aljamain Sterling's name. The same people that were talking garbage going into this fight are now making the excuses. Henry Cejudo only won Rounds 2 and 5. Aljamain won Rounds 1, 3 & 4. He also landed more significant strikes in every single round and did more damage both in and out of the clinch.
5
@ShawnMSwartz You should try and say that in an African language, not bastardised Dutch.
5
@@Fatty-lk3dcPeople who stoop low to make comments like Covington and McGregor have to do that because they know they aren't good enough to win off skill alone. The most stoic and composed men are usually the best fighters.
5
@peteyd1984 What relevance does anything he does outside the cage have to do with his career in it?
5
@samwouters686 Foolish comparison.
5
@michaelknat8654 Europe is not only for Europeans but when you say that to them, they go berserk.
5
@tn5630 Adesanya, Usman and Ngannou are indigenous Africans who migrated from their countries to get opportunities that were not available in their respective countries. Du Plessis comes from the lineage of apartheid beneficiaries who have controlled the wealth in South Africa for decades and also is from a nation that has had a thriving MMA scene for years. If he had grown up in any other African nation like Nigeria, Cameroon, Benin, Senegal etc he would've had to migrate like Ngannou did. It is incredibly disingenuous to leave out this information but you're doing so because you know you're wrong and want to try and force this narrative. By your logic, Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov aren't Dagestani Russian champions as they train at AKA. Anderson Silva isn't a Brazilian champion as he lived in the USA. Wanderlei Silva wasn't a champion as he lived in the US. Valentina Shevshenko isn't Russian because she trained and lived in Peru. Your logic is ridiculously flawed and is only used to try and undermine actual African champions that won already won the belt.
5
@cwp888 Honestly, it's actually embarrassing and comical at the same time.
5
@Moor_Fish You're dealing with fools that will always try to wash away the accomplishments of fighters like Adesanya. Same thing they do with Usman, Jones, Sterling, Woodley etc.
5
@Freemasonshair That's what you hope.
5
@jordanfrancis129 Written like a true fool. 1) It's common for middle class families in Nigeria to have domestic assistance 2) Adesanya has never claimed poverty. 3) A real Africans ancestry wouldn't trace to France. They wouldn't answer a French surname and they wouldn't speak a Dutch derived language. But sure, "Real African."
5
@bencipherx To many people. Yet the incels from a certain group will vehemently hate him without fail.
5
@lukemurray4950 Ah yes, the Englishman from East London trying to tell us Africans who is and isn't African.
5
@tylerwardle2475 Your emotions are meaningless to me bud, hope you know that.
5
@oak8891 Look at the emotion, looooool.
5
@kurosaki_ichigo15 He had lost his previous three fights and was losing against Jubli until he turned it around. So it's understandable.
5
@biggiesmalls7939 They know it was an early stoppage but because they wanted Aljamain to lose and O'Malley to be champion, they'll pretend that they care about fighters' safety and say it wasn't an early stoppage. Sterling was just about to get up the moment Goddard stopped it.
5
That goblin would get out of breath if he walked ten feet. Obese waste of space.
5
Until he becomes a champion or confident in his ability and then you'll turn on him as you folk always do
5
@jansmit327 You don't know the man. Grow a pair and respect what he's done in this sport and combat sports as a whole.
4
@bigboss8647 Dumbest take of the day
4
@youngian99 Why is it that you folk like to focus on everything besides what they do in the octagon? I don't see this level of scrutiny with McGregor, Covington or any of your ol' boys.
4
@colecampbell1906 You don't spend a year constantly talking trash about a person then the moment you're stood infront of them you cower away. That is embarrassing.
4
@josieandy5874 And he went life and death with Derek Brunson 🤣 the most goofiest fight I've seen till this day.
4
@ghdv_shxdxwNightwing So Matt Serra beating GSP wasn't a fluke?
4
@davidmcneejr.977 If he can replicate the same thing against Adesanya or somebody of equal quality (which he has never in his MMA career) then it won't be a fluke. He has lost against three fighters of high calibre when he fought them (Usman, Pereira and Cannonier). If he had beaten those guys in the same fashion, then I would be all on board with the notion that it wasn't a fluke.
4
@carsonhagler4341 Aljamain won Rounds 1, 3 & 4. He also landed more significant strikes in every single round and did more damage both in and out of the clinch.
4
You people nitpick at every single thing this man does. Your motive is becoming very evident.
4
Incoming oyinbos to provide their "reason" why they hate him, lol
4
@ghagzor Your comment makes absolutely no sense.
4
@Toffies974 It's "isn't." If you're going to insult a person's intelligence, avoid embarrassing yourself in the process.
