I guess what you say is true. My twin son is 19 this year. When they 18, I asked them to date (because I am afraid if they were gay). They got angry to me. I finally got to bribe them, giving money so they can date. They easily got a date. But when my money runs out, they as easily break up with the girl, and just do their hobbies and gather with their friends.
By looking at my sons, I don't think Gen Z is lazy and easily broken. I got master degree at 25, but my twins son now in the first year of ivy college taking computer science and compare them to myself at every same age, they are better than me. It is just their priority is different than me (I am late Gen X).
On many things what is cool for me is not cool for them, including about women (they don't think having a girlfriend is cool and fun ; instead they told me it was hassle), about lifestyle (they don't think buying expensive fashion is cool, but fool ; they also never take alcohol or smoking), they even don't trust the authority (their teacher, their school, the government) long before I told them not to trust the authority (I really surprise when they say "of course, dad" with confident).
If the society will be collapse, so be it. But I foresee that in their time we will have the best version of modern men ever walk on earth. They will destroy many things we ever create for good.
