  6. It is a very dull film like the Thor movies. When Marvel do serious drama type movies they are boring and when they do comedy light hearted movies they entertain. Ironman, Captain America 1, Spiderman, Ant-Man, Dr Strange and Guardians are all fun movies and people loved them. All their other movies are boring and dull and Black Panther got hyped because rich white liberals who are really racists loved virtue signalling.

  15. I think they would be mad to go down that route. Make a stand alone Superman and a stand alone Wonder women with cross over but do not make affleck Batman movies because it will cause so much confusion in the minds of the movie audience. Affleck is a great actor and director and they should be getting him to make $20 million production movies and turning them into hits. Warner needs a stand alone Batman world and keep it seperate from the other content. Batman can be its own thing as it is very well established. Their recent Batman film made $800 million at the box office and the next film will probably push $1 billion. If they can find a way to overlap that Batman with the Joker movie they can really bring it in.

  21.  @lennon7575  That $200 million would only allow them to break even and that would have be $200 million in the US. Outside the US that $200 million would have a lower return to the studio and US distributors.

  23. Fraser is not making a comeback people. He is 53 years of age, overweight and is facing an industry that is in collapse. The film industry is dead and you people have to just accept it. There is no turning this around. We are now entering an expensive capital market period with very high levels of inflation. There is not going to be any money to make the films that people are used to. Most theatres are not going to be able to withstand this. We have never seen anything like this before. The destruction of the theater industry, really bad movie production and a digital theater experience that is inferior to a film celluloid theater of 25 years ago. Imagine playing a video game console that is inferior to a SNES.

  25.  @brianhenry152  The whole industry is now run by executives that have no knowledge of films at all as they are not filmmakers. If you think what I said only applies to Snyder then you would be mistaken. The vast majority of modern entertainment is like that with very few exceptions. Some directors have managed to dribble their way around the system to produce good films but you will just as easily find that same director making an absolute dud later on. Now maybe Snyder had complete control of the project but I doubt that to be the case as it is unlikely that he made the project with his own money. What Snyder did with Army of the Dead is just an industry standard film by todays executives. It is identical to the theatre release of Justice League.

  30. The director has no control of these projects. Many of them have been fired for trying to make a movie. Some directors reputations have been destroyed by this. David Fincher's reputation was destroyed by Alien 3 and he had no control over any of the process on tha film.

  48. You could only imagine what Amazon could have achieved if it went out with $500 million found some creative people and says go and make a completely original high fantasy tv show. I am sure they could have shot the whole thing in IMAX 70mm and actually built Gondor for real and life sized dragon for every cast member as a gift.

  49.  @LaBarata12  I am not sure what age you are but if you are a young person who realizes what the world is you will run rings around young people today. Never in a single age has machiavellian philosophy been so potent and important. The main cultural force today has labelled Machiavelli ideology as evil or sinister when it was just a blueprint for a chaotic period during the Renaissance. Person has to train their mind to be assertive and like all training it works best when it is repeated daily as a form of training. I would suggest reading Marcus Aurelius Meditations as a starting point and Machiavelli. This is not the firs era of weak men and it will not be the last.
