  5. I do not think there is any real criticisms. It was the perfect movie to watch and I loved it. I think today's world there is this desire to criticize everything. I like you went into with no real expectations and was blown away like I was with Blade Runner 2049. He could have take the story in different directions and tried different things but I happy with that attempt.

  8. Warner DC new Batman and Joker theme is amazing. They really need to stick with that but they need to liven Batman up a little bit for the next movie and have the gotham still have that manky horrible dark theme. There seemed to be a real menace to Gotham that was not capture before.

  9. You have to understand the culture of modern studios. They are being dominated by people that have as much creative abilities as a local blue haired busker on the street. They just strum that guitar with the same two cords over and over and whine like crazy. The idea that they would make a $20 million movie that is about characters is as alien to them as it is to CNN reporting the news from an independent perspective.

  11. @Espy The directors are not incharge of the films. They are just glorified camera supervisors. They have absolutely no decision making in the films. Many of them are fired and they are sidelined after the shooting takes place. I have spoken to several directors of modern corporate studio films and they hate the process but it is the only gig in town.

  13. The characters also speak like they have ADHD and just ramble out piles of nonsense for no other reason than some cheap bit of humour. When they made Dredd in 2012 it was a brooding tough character and if they made it in 2023 he would be a weak troubled character and he would be the sidekick to some strong female character that is always angry.

  14. The problem with the new Rings of power series is that lots of causal people will watch it and it probably will be well made even though it will not have the soul of middle earth. I suspect it will be a show that has record numbers of viewers and will be good entertainment for those that do not have any knowledge of the Rings.

  15.  @Shadowxx98  The modern movie industry is based on a cycle of reshoots. Normally what would occur is that the first version would be so bad they would go back and shoot again and produce a particular edit. They would go through several cycles of that before they get to the release version. They are so devoid of creativity that they cannot produce a first quality cut as the whole emphasis is on the message. The problem with this reshoot process is that the studios do not have the money they once had. Easy finance is not there to be tapped into anymore. It is the reason why there is a glut of large scale studio films going to streaming that are sub standard affairs.

  16. No they will have success but that success will be a poisoned well. They have a brand that many switched off people love but when they make a few stinkers people will stop going to the films. They are already making up excuses claiming that they are focused on the Chinese market which makes no real money and is all fake figures. Disney is sitting on $50 billions worth of debt and over the next 5 years that is going to triple and they will be trying to hide it all. AT&T and have already got rid of Warner because their debts are going in the same direction.

They are remaking the tv show the wonder years and guess what it will be about a black family in Birmingham Alabama. The left are obsessed about race so expect Indiana Jones to be mocked in the film about being white.

It would be better to make it clear that he is an older version of Batman but the new Batman movie clearly presents the film in the current age. So confusion is abound in the audience. Affleck is a talent director and actor so giving him $20 million and saying go get em son would really be their best option.

  37. Snyder more than likely was not in control of the film. Editing and special effects is were modern films are decided and it is unlikely that he had control of that section of the process. Casting was probably not down to him and he would have nothing to do with the script rewrites.

  38. The problem is that Guardians was released when Marvel was just starting to get really popular and people loved the characters in that story. And that was seven years ago. The issue they have today is that they have told the end of the world story line so many times that people are sick of it and they expect it to be now in every Marvel movie and they are releasing these movies when there is numerous other big budget action movies telling the same story. Audiences are tired of the big budget boring movies with the same generic story only this time the women in films are not as good looking as they were in the older movies.

  41. Season 2 was terrible. It is just a repeat of season 1 with a Nazi racist unimaginably named Storm Front. Amazon have just turned a good show into a political platform. I thought the whole of season two was disgusting and I will not watch anymore of The Boys.

  46. Foreign box office performance does not mean the studios see that much money out of. In America the studio probably gets a 50-50 share but internationally they are lucky if they get 20%. If it is a film by a small studio they will probably get 10% from the box office.
