  1. In Maguire's first season the defence conceded 36 goals which is a championship level defence. Since that time the Utd team as a whole has gone backwards and cannot keep teams of them. Maguire and Varane in a good attacking team would be rock solid.

  4. Both of those players have a long way to go before they can get any credit. They both have a clean sheet right now and need to prove them self. They do not need to throw in wild tackles just try and play a good game. Nothing exciting and they need to be able to pass the ball forward more.

  10. I do not buy into the idea that the Utd club needs restructuring. It most certainly needs a restructuring at first team coaching level but not at the club level. Man Utd have been profitable even during he shut down and they have always given the managers and coaches funds.

  13. He would be fantastic for Chelsea and the price would be £60 million and he probably would be the top goals scorer this season and may get them to win the Champions league final. He scored 24 goals in 38 games for Man utd imagine what he could do with Chelsea.

  20. Those stats are not that impressive. Both players have had far more games to play in the. The early stages of the champions league is normally full of crap teams were they get most of their goals. The modern game has far more appearances and sports science has allowed these overrated players to have longer careers hence why they have more goals. Pele career was over at 30, best was finished when he was 26 and Cruijff was finished when he hit 30. Players are now going into their late 30s.

  29. The appropriate punishment is easy. City should be stripped of all titles, expulsed from the English league and then have to reapply. Fines are not enough for the level of charges that are being brought forward. There is also a risk that they have issues with the HMRC. There is no middle ground if the EPL does not do what is necessary the brand will be damaged and the Government will appoint oversight to the whole industry. The government is champing at the bit to get involved and are just waiting for the right opportunity. The eyes of the world are on the EPL. This news has already gone global.
