  8. It is a common problem in English football were physicality is valued above the ability to play football. No body wants to see the physical game disappear but Carrol was allowed to make several reckless challenges. If he had of been brought up by the ref for the first challenge and told he would get booked for the next challenge accordingly then things may have been different.

  11. The EPL has the ability to withdraw membership of the EPL. The FA has the ability to withdraw membership from the English league and that would men a team would have to reapply to enter again and start at the very bottom. Another question which nobody seems to be asking with all of this was taxation properly applied in this situation?

  20. Why would the sale be good. Utd are already in great financial shape even with the pandemic shut down. There is no financial danger to Utd and the clubs spends money on players. I would be great to see Sir Jim Ratcliffe take over the club but Utd do not need rich owners.

  23.  @Walkalonghere  FFP allows a club to build a stadium through investment, build a youth development system and do a lot of other good stuff. When money is correctly applied there is no issue. Newcastle if they are wise would focus on those things and adapting a stylish form of football to the club. People would admire that.

Messi has been nowhere near the level of his previous best nor even at the level of other top players today. None of this is about the finish of the club but the actual ability and performance of the player who gets the award. Players in the past have got awards without actually winning anything.

  40. You are talking crap about Steve Bruce being an improvement over Ole. When Ole took over the team had no defensive line at all, no attacking line and a centre forward that wanted to leave the club and was in the midst of a depression. Ole left the job with a team that could actually play attacking football but was also flawed so stop talking crap and acting as if Ole was responsible for the clubs demise. Ole has been part of the progression of the first team and now hopefully Rangnick can make the next step up to playing better football. Ole should have been replaced last summer.

  41. They need to focus on getting the team playing football and having a good league season. Man Utd have Won the Europa league before and went onto to flop. May be next season a good run in Europe alongside a good league run could do wonders for confidence. Utd are coming from such a low point but they do well in the league and look confident and then Europa league it could be a good sign.

  42. I do not think the task is as big as people make it out to be. There are already quality players in the Man Utd side and with 5 new players Ten Hag could have the Utd team playing great football that may not win anything but it would be a start. If he is ruthless with the players and has a style of play that he can implement he will be successful.

  47. They already walked away decades ago with the formation of the EPL and champions league. There has not been a new team added to european top football in the last 30 years because of the champions league. The 1988 European cup final was between PSV and Porto. The 1989 final was between AC Milan and Steaua București.
