  16. I believe that some people and especially rich people buy btc so they can transfer value overseas if the need arises and they move. It would be hard to transfer millions of dollars of gold or silver overseas if you move. Btc is also good for money laundering.

  35. @esthersdaughterlong8149  it can get a lot worse. We share cropped had little or no money. Many people up until the early 1960's bartered or did worked to live. Even though I was born in 1946 I lived through the end of this mess. We didn't have electricity until the mid-fifties. But, we did survive. If your ribs could be counted, you were poor. If you couldn't see your ribs, you were well off.

  37. During the 1970's and 1980's many houses were being sold because their parents had died and they didn't need 2 houses to upkeep. A lot of people also moved during these years. Now many people only have 1 house and if bought in the earlier years, it is probably paid. They will not sell. Farmland and timberland is probably paid for and won't be sold cheap if at all.
