And there are children older than him who still have them.

@bessbarnes6062 Sorry, I wasn't trying to give the impression that I thought it was okay. Just making an observation.
445
I hate to be cynical, but I don't think these businesses are offering this out of altruistic motives. It's simply cheaper in the long run to keep their female workers from having kids.

I realize that, under Spanish law, the referendum was illegal, but seriously, the response of the Spanish police was way beyond the crime being committed. I'm not familiar with Spanish law, but it seems like holding an illegal referendum would be more of a civil violation rather than a criminal one.

weaverspell And is that supposed to mean he's not supposed to like children and have a rapport with them?
81
What about the unicorn? 🙃
58
@Prashant Singh: I don't think that was an option with all the video recording devices there.
54
@dallas yap: Which was a great risk Canada undertook. No one knew at that time if there may have been more hijackers on board any of those planes.
39
@RJ-dw4jw Meaning the people of Spain.
31
I'm American and I agree with that statement.
31
@jonathangeorge787 The point I was trying to make was that no American politician is going to physically discipline his / her child in public. That would end up being a major PR nightmare.
23
+ILoVeToraVe And isn't part of his job to make sure MPs speak to each other in a civil manner?
23
Isn't part of the Speaker's job to make sure the MPs communicate in a civil manner?
20
I'm probably going to regret asking this, but why would the FBI and/or the CIA arrange for a shooting on a college campus? To provide a pretense for taking guns away from "law abiding citizens"? I hate to sound cynical, but if the government didn't take any meaningful action when 20 innocent young children were massacred nearly 11 years ago, then I can't imagine any shooting incident that will make your paranoid fear come true.
19
@martin prince: Still, it was excessive force on the part of the Spanish police in my opinion.
17
The use of public funds for health care should be limited to exactly that: health care.
14
@Manel Sevilla: I'm not disputing that the Spanish government declared the referendum illegal, I'm saying that I believe the response of the Spanish police was way out of proportion to the nonviolent crime that was being committed.
14
@Manel Sevilla I don't know why my point is not getting across to you. I'll try one more time, then I'm dropping the conversation. Was the referendum held by the Catalonian government illegal under Spanish law? Yes. That's not in question. Did that justify the violent response of the Spanish police to a non-violent crime? No.

And what's going to happen in a few years is that most people will forget why the holiday exists and treat it as another day off to go shopping at the Juneteenth Sales (assuming they're not one of the people who are working in the store having the Juneteenth Sale).
11
@rsmith6366 Most medical insurances don't cover travel expenses if a person has to go out of state for most other procedures (e.g., specialized cancer treatments).
10
The funny thing is that all day, I've been thinking that today was an historic date, but I couldn't remember why until I came across this video.
9
+Mr Misanthrope And what was Catherine before she married William? 🙄
7
13:36 -- What an adorable doggie!
7
@Sheri Townsend: They're all probably saying pretty much the same thing.
6
I rebuke your negativity by wishing you a Happy and Blessed New Year. 😘
6
@afgzee2011 A pacifier can have numerous names depending on the area you live in and whatever an individual family decides to call it. I grew up calling it a binki (not sure of the spelling, I think it was the brand name of the pacifier my parents used for me). And within the area I live in now, the two most popular names I hear are "paci" (short for "pacifier") and "ninnie" (not sure what the origin of that is).
6
+Jim Fromearth Harry would probably still be in the military.
6
Another thing to know about Governor DeSantis: Despite being a middle aged, college educated lawyer, he sounds like a teenage girl on TikTok every time the word "woke" comes out of his mouth.
6
@lil jack russell: That question was answered in November 2016. The number of individuals nationwide that voted for Trump was 62,984,825 according to the Federal Election Commission. https://transition.fec.gov/pubrec/fe2016/2016presgeresults.pdf
6
+Hector Morales I think B Hagedash was being facetious. Trump probably has no clue where Catalonia is, much less any idea what's going on there right now, so if a journalist did ask him about Catalan refugees, he'd probably think they were from Central America.
5
I can't put my finger on why, but Musk has never seemed trustworthy to me. I think those who are celebrating his acquisition of Twitter in the hopes that he'll turn it into a forum where anything goes regardless of the harm it could cause might end up being disappointed.
5
I don't disagree, but it should be consumers that decide that, not a government.
5
+Achmed Zuzali Back then, there was no way Camilla was going to be allowed to marry Charles. She had too much of a "reputation", whereas Diana was considered to be a "good girl".
5
If Jonny Dymond can't figure out why Harry isn't too keen on the media, he must've popped up in a cabbage patch sometime after late 1997.
5
Not anymore. DeSantis just signed a new abortion law limiting it to 15 weeks or less.
5
+Rina Moree Considering that Harry's own father is divorced and married another divorced person, I don't think anyone within the Royal Establishment is going to bring that up as an objection to the marriage. And what does Meghan's ancestry have to do with anything?
5
@Jonathan: What part of this video wasn't accurate?
4
@Bobby Roonee: I have. My cat was growling at someone passing by the window and happened to burp at the same time. It came out sounding like a bark.
4
+Gato Gate Yes, I understand that the referendum was illegal, but I don't think that checking off a box on a piece of paper and trying to deposit said paper in a box justifies actions such as being kicked, having one's hair pulled, or being shot at with rubber bullets.
4
I think both sides are freaking out prematurely. Wait and see what the actual decision is before praising or condemning it.
4
Plus, the added medical insurance for the kids and disruptions to the mother's schedule because of the kids' needs (e.g., Mom can't come in because little Suzie is ill).
4
Same here in the US! 🙃
4
There's nothing in the video that suggests that they aren't sending their children to a state or private school. They're not hermits.
4
Okay, now it's time for Sir Richard Branson to reciprocate by sending someone from Doctor Who into space. 🙃
4
And a loss for freedom of speech.
4
Actually, Chauvin has to serve a minimum of 15 years.
4
Very rare, yes, but not impossible for a couple that got married before they even hit adolescence.
4
Sir Kim didn't say anything that most of us weren't thinking already. He just did it in a more diplomatic and educated manner.
4
Trump said, "rapid due process".
4
I'm assuming this means he's not even going to be using a courtesy title?
