+Nick Muscat I thought their MPs always refuse to take their seats because they refuse to swear loyalty to the Crown as required?
3
+lovejesus12012 Not to mention those who are either being deliberately provocative or just plain stupid by making comments about the 9-11 attacks, when it can't be any more obvious that the topic of the video is 911, the emergency number here in the US.
3
+Monarchist 18 Actually, the Catalonian government wants to remain in the EU. However, if I'm remembering correctly, the EU has already told Catalonia that if it declared independence outside of what Spanish law allows, it won't recognize an independent Catalonia.

It's not that much of a stretch to assume that if they are paying for their cell phone contracts (or prepaid cards, if they have those in the UK) and their internet access, they are probably also still paying for their TV license.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, she succeeded.

+DasUB00T Any children that Diana might have had with Dodi, or anyone else for that matter, wouldn't have been part of the official Royal Family or titled. It's funny that some people seem to be focused on the possibility of Diana being pregnant with Dodi's child, which wouldn't have meant diddly, yet they never bring up the very real concern of having the al-Fayeds that close to Prince William.

+midnight rider Just because I don't buy into the "Diana was murdered" rubbish doesn't mean I believe that Diana was a saint.

Happy New Year to Hong Kong from the US. 🥂

@jptrainor I was simply pointing out that the 24 week limit in Florida is no longer accurate, not offering an opinion about it.
3
+witch, please How about people who don't care if she's African, European, or a pink and purple striped unicorn as long as they are happy? How does that make you feel?
3
I don't think there is a sign, at least not in ASL. You would fingerspell it. I can't say whether or not you'd do the same in British Sign Language.
3
rdmo83 And probably came to a similar conclusion.
3
@Cecilie M: There has to be trials first.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is the baby's name.

It took the Speaker roughly 90± seconds to say what he had to say. What disastrous events happened in the UK in that time frame that could've been prevented if Bercow hadn't taken that minuscule time to admonish Johnson?
3
Freedom of speech works both ways. Once a viewpoint is presented, other people have the right to either agree with or respectfully challenge that viewpoint.

+Nick Muscat I can't say anything good or bad about Corbyn because, although I consider myself an Anglophile, I'm American and don't really know that much about him. If your sources are correct about the Sinn Féin MP's taking their seats, thereby violating one of their core principles (swearing allegiance to the Crown), just to keep the DUP out of government will be a very interesting development.

I'm American so forgive me if I'm missing something, but I think Sturgeon is a little out of touch with reality. It appears that her main motivation for a referendum isn't independence for independence's sake, but so that Scotland can remain in the EU. However, even if the EU allows an independent Scotland to join (which is extremely iffy as long as Spain holds out), it was mentioned during the run up to the last referendum that Scotland would have to go through the same hoops as any other potential member. No fast track just because it was part of another (soon to be former) EU member state, despite Sturgeon's belief otherwise.

It's how Maori greet each other. I'm not sure if it's a ceremonial / formal greeting or an everyday one, though.
2
If there are such things as alternate realities, I imagine there is one in which Catherine is a primary school teacher.
2
@fassolhermani5984 Was he even Catholic? Oh, well, I guess in an alternate reality, it might not even matter.
2
Waiting until the proverbial last minute, not unlike Parliament, apparently.
2
@WhiteLivesMatter96 The US doesn't use an "u" in the word "color".
2
@Just another ... : It's not the opinion that's insane, it's how these people present their opinions.
2
How sad can people's lives get that they see conspiracy in the most innocent of situations?
2
@jayv9779 I wouldn't put it past Trump to try to get around that somehow.
2
+LJHB48 The BBC believes you care because you clicked on the video. Every click is like a thumbs up to a video publisher. It's amazing how many people can't understand that.

+Hector Morales Definition of "joke" according to Merriam-Webster dictionary: 1. a :something said or done to provoke laughter; especially :a brief oral narrative with a climactic humorous twist b (1) :the humorous or ridiculous element in something (2) :an instance of jesting :kidding

Trump makes Bush Jr. look like the head of Mensa.

Free the rest of us from politically oriented comments on a non-political video.

It was bad enough the players weren't showing respect at home. Now they've decided to be disrespectful overseas as well. Great job eradicating the ignorant American stereotype, guys. 🙄

+Russin Outlaw Catalonia's unilateral bid for independence is illegal under the Spanish Constitution. For a independence referendum to be legal, it has to be voted on by the entire country, not just the region looking to separate. Having said that, however, I can't say that I'm liking how the central government is handling the situation. Its heavy handed approach is just going to alienate the Catalan people even further and possibly change the minds of Catalans who originally didn't want to break away from Spain.
2
@Daniel Bostock: So this caravan isn't really heading to the US? Okay, I'm sure that'll be a relief to the Border Patrol. And Trump can also call back all those troops he's sending as well.

There was. https://youtu.be/UXPwtzuNhm4

No Sophie Rhys-Jones?

@MaisieDaisyUpsadaisy If the treatment for people who believe they're something they're not didn't consist of indulging the patients, there wouldn't be any risk of them becoming infertile.
2
@LD-by7ko Okay, thanks. 🙂
2
@CannibalMan09 That's all it takes.

You should be held accountable for spreading rumors without proof, but we don't always get what we want.
2
@maniacram Well, unless you believe in reincarnation, there's only one physical life. 🙂

+midnight rider If there was anything to that conspiracy theory nonsense, a murder wouldn't have occurred because Diana might have been pregnant with Dodi's child. It would've happened because the Royal Court would've been concerned about the al Fayeds (esp. the father) having undue influence over William.
2
+midnight rider That made about as much sense as your original post.
2
But she did flee the country.

I don't see Harry's position as much different than family members like the Duke of Gloucester or Prince Michael of Kent (i.e., not senior royals by any means, but are usually present at important royal events).
2
Not everybody wants to watch serious stories 24/7.

Sounded more Latin to me.

@Ribbitplease His grandfather, George VI, was a stutterer as well.

Where did you get the idea that the Queen has nixed anyone from Harry and Meghan's guest list (which as of a couple of weeks ago hadn't even been discussed yet, according to Harry himself)? William had stated in an interview that when some palace officials gave him a guest list for his wedding, he was overwhelmed by the number of people on it whom neither he nor Catherine knew. He went to the Queen to discuss it and William said the Queen encouraged him to scrap it and rewrite the list as he saw fit. If the Queen had that attitude towards William's wedding guest list (which was a more important occasion as far as protocol was concerned), surely she would be just as hands off regarding Harry and Meghan's guest list?

@johnnymonoxide9220 How is a company's willingness (or not) to pay decent wages tied to its stance on abortion?
