Because the US is being hypocritical in its insistence that the embargo is tied to a lack of democracy and human rights in Cuba. There are numerous other countries who are under similar political conditions as Cuba (the country that owns and runs this very YouTube channel being a good example), yet the US doesn't impose embargoes against them.

In my opinion, two things: (1) Obama started the process of opening up diplomatic relations and relaxing some of the rules regarding Americans traveling to and doing business with Cuba. Trump seems determined to dismantle anything that Obama did during his administration. (2) As the video pointed out, Trump believes that the Cuban-Americans in Miami want him to crack down on all interactions with Cuba. And the older members of that community tend to vote Republican.

@mrmakeembreakitdown Thank you. 🙂

0:21-- I can't help but feel that this Texans for Vaccine Choice group might be more interested in making money than promoting a cause.

Red Flag laws seem like a good idea in theory, but before I would support them, I want answers to these questions: Who will determine if the gun owner is a legitimate threat? What criteria will be used to determine that? What will the gun owner need to do to prove that he/she is no longer a threat or never was a threat in the first place? What will prevent disgruntled neighbors, friends, family, etc..., from making a false report against a gun owner?

Every time I see DeSantis now, I think of a quote from the Classic Era of Doctor Who: "You know, the very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don't alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views. Which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that need altering."

I've always been against government support of private schools, but from the opposite end of the debate. If private schools want to stay private, they shouldn't be accepting government money.

I'd like to see how many people answer, "None of Abbott's effin' business."

@GLORYNEVADASMITH That's what irks me about US foreign policy towards Cuba. Countries like China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, et al., enjoy full diplomatic and trade relations with us and you know they aren't stellar examples of respecting human rights.

SantiagoDeTortillas No argument there, but it seems hypocritical that the US targets Cuba for its horrible human rights record when we do business and have diplomatic relations with many other countries whose records are just as bad.

And how much money is this school board going to waste, again, changing the names back to where they were in the first place?
1
True, but if not enough people use this train service to justify the company's investment and operating costs, then Brightline isn't going to make a profit.

Which has what to do with the topic of this video?
1
"Disney's Magic Kingdom will open its doors on July 11.Its animal parks including SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Aquatica will also open doors on July 15." Disney doesn't own the latter three parks. They belong to SeaWorld Entertainment Inc.

What makes you think he can accomplish in a second term what he couldn't accomplish in the first one?
1
He said he didn't want to be part of that life anymore.

"MY love and greetings to Him and his family!" Capitalizing "him" usually means you're referring to God or Jesus. So I guess you're saying Tr--p is your god.

I wouldn't want to be buying Boeing airplanes right now.

@kennyng2289 There are, but the vast majority of voters here in the US have been brainwashed into believing that voting for a third party or true independents will allow the "bad" mainstream party to win. For example, if someone's views draw her/him to the Green Party, Democrats will say that if that person votes for Greens, it'll take votes away from Democrats and allow Republicans to get into office.

Your actions aren't matching your words.

What business is it of Russia's if Ukraine joins NATO or not? As much as Putin and his ilk may think otherwise, no Western government is the least bit interested in overthrowing him.

In the US legal system, to convict someone of murder, you have to prove that the suspect planned ahead to kill the victim. On the surface, this doesn't sound like the case.

Unless you're also in favor of imposing embargoes against the 40+ countries (including the one that owns and runs this very YouTube channel) that have similar records regarding a lack of democracy and human rights. you're just being hypocritical.

You're just now learning that CGTN is owned and operated by the Chinese government? Even though the caption underneath the video screen states that quite unambiguously?
1
There may not be too many of them still alive.

None of the other leaders' names were translated into English, so why refer to the King of Spain as "Philip" when his name is Felipe?
1
This needed to be longer so it could go into more detail.

The trial hasn't started yet.

I don't see how face masks can be viable at Aquatica. They're going to be soaking wet after one slide.

I can't imagine a store having to limit how many packages of eggs customers can buy. The price itself enforces limits quite well.
