@UshankaShow It was too sweet for my taste!

@j3lny425 ...it was meant to be a humorous remark...don't take it seriously.
1
Queen Victoria used sheets of The Times as toilet paper!
1
I love the picture of people picking potatoes! Or more to the point, the girl with the nice ass bending over!😆
1
Interesting that the 1980s "mugshots" of the Labour Party shows a few faces that are distressingly familiar even now...
1
I find these videos very interesting.

What proportion of that vodka (and the moonshine, come to think of it...) is methanol, I wonder...? I don't mean to be rude, but I can't imagine Soviet vodka from 40 years ago underwent particularly rigorous quality control...
1
@ernstwiltmann6 You can think what you like, sonny...
1
@ernstwiltmann6 I'm glad you acknowledge it.
1
We never had separate algebra and geometry lessons...it was all rolled into one called "mathematics" ("Maths" in Britain, or "math" in America). We studied things like vectors, probability & statistics, trigonometry and calculus too.
1
@brainbah Judging by your woefully infantile and inept attempts at "sarcasm", I suggest you're the one getting triggered, not me. I suggest you make your explanation for accusing me of being "racist" extremely convincing, or I report you to YT. I await either your apology and retraction, or yet more farcical and damning word salad.

@888ssss Where are you from?
1
@888ssss Are you a communist?
1
@888ssss What is your stance, then?
1
@888ssss How do you make a living by minding your own business?
1
@888ssss How do you square this with being an "active slacker"? Or, more to the point, how do you get away with being an "active slacker" in an essential industry?
1
@ForageGardener If you want to think of "debt" as "negative money", then I guess in that sense the US does have vast reserves.

Tell us about maths and science classes in the Soviet Union. In Britain, we were told that the Soviet Union trained huge numbers of mathematicians\scientists\engineers to a much higher level than we were taught, all dedicated to the military. With the benefit of hindsight, I can see that it was a deliberate plan to get us to study hard in these subjects. I'd like to know the reality of the Soviet system.

@smokeystover5682 I didn't quite get a handle on where the museum is, unfortunately.
1
I seem to think there were at least two "Carry On" films where Sid James flung open a cupboard to reveal that it was stacked full of Johnny Walker whisky...the fridge full of vodka reminded me!
1
I was 2 in 1976!
1
No mention of green vegetables from either camp...
1
Ahhhh! "Gopniks" = "chavs/pikeys/neds"...!
1
Rudolph Hess was Hitler's deputy who flew to Britain to try and broker peace.
1
It all makes "Secret Squirrel" and "Roger Ramjet" look a bit tame...
1
To be fair, even if the guy was stuttering he still needed XL condoms...
1
Wow! I should think the "woke squad" would have something to say about such blatant military indoctrination these days...!
1
<beep...beep...beep...> "Time to feed parakeet." "What's 'feed parakeet'..? Russian for jerking off...?" 😅
1
Growing up in the UK in the 1980s and 1990s, I always "cleaned" my teeth, rather than "brushed" my teeth.
1
I think Breznev died years before his "official" death, and his corpse was "robotised" and remote controlled...a bit like Joe Biden.
1
I think Soviets must have had very large testicles if they're routinely compared to eggs. Where I come from, they're more often compared to beans...
1
Why does everyone keep hating on John Wayne Cheeseburger? I knew his cousin Charleton Heston Hotdog, and he was a OK guy...
1
Maybe Stalin anticipated the world after the war: the decline of the European Empires, and the rise of the USA and USSR as global superpowers...he didn't want the Soviet people getting too involved with the idea of "internationalism" because he saw a chance for global domination. Just a theory...
1
I'm not convinced...the idea of acquiring material wealth through "luck" rather than honest work seems like decadent capitalism to me...
1
Was there any culture of cannabis smoking in the Soviet Union?
1
Sadly parallel to contemporary British universities...hotbeds of Far Left indoctrination rather than institutions of higher learning.
1
I went to an all-boys school...when we got older, we shared some classes with the local girls' school...we'd hardly even seen "girls" before that time! To say that we were "distracted in class" is an understatement!😍
1
I got most of the obvious ones (number of kids, which way's the wind blowing, how did they get there, how long have they been there, etc). I thought the water melon was a pumpkin, though! Hence, I assumed it was late October! (kind of chilly for camping, on reflection...!)
1
My mum used to feed us hearts (I can't remember what kind...pig or sheep, I guess). I recall that they were actually very tasty (once you'd overcome the initial "horror" factor!)...I never see them in the shops these days, though...
1
Q: What do you call a camel with three humps? A: Humphrey. 😅
1
The Chinese Government has World Domination in mind...
1
@helgeschneider9069 If you can show me a better looking babe than Tamara Press, I'd be very surprised!😅
1
Being a fan of Ushanka Show for a while now, I feel there ought to be a picture of a young woman with long legs in a skimpy dress riding a Soviet bicycle in such a way that her skirt has flown up and you can see her panties! 😆
