  3. I see some comments about getting the car out of the road and claiming darwin awards. Just take a closer look at the front of the black car and at the road. The car was clearly more than just broken down - the front bumper is hanging off and it probably lost its radiator. Maybe they haven't had a chance to push it off the road yet.

  10. Ok, so she wasn't in it and wasn't physically hurt, BUT a wheelchair is and EXTENSION of a person's body. I was temporarily in a chair for 4 months years ago. While I was checking out at a grocery store, the kid of the people behind me in line started leaning on my handles and playing around, tapping my chair. No boundaries.

I hope the neighbor's parents see the video and have a discussion with their kids about acceptance and bullying. Maybe they can even apologize and repair the damage they've done. That surely would help this youngster build trust again.

  31.  @maplenerd22  et al... I worked at a hospital and was Administrator on Call during a blizzard that we in central Carolina call Snowmageddon (google it). We had to keep core individuals to take care of patients and send others home. Some people had to do jobs they don't normally do. The big thing was keeping everyone safe. While they say that staff went home, I would fully debate due to homeland security issues, that EVERY staff member was sent home. More staff means more people to feed, house, and be reponsible for. In a weather emergency, you do your best to keep everyone as safe as possible, and often that means sending the majority of the staff to their homes.

  34. Based on Bon Appétit and the anti logic, bars and nightclubs should be open to kiddies since parents may not have a babysitter. I recall having a late family meal as adults and sitting next to some sleepy children struggling to stay awake... whining, yelling, then a toy train came whizzing by my head and onto my plate. Another time, a young girl in the booth behind my dad was turned around looking at me, playing with her fork next to my dad's ear. Thought he was going to get stabbed. What fun.. at 40 bucks a plate.

  37. I was about that age when it happened to me. That's something a kid remembers. I remember sitting on the steps of our den listening to my mom call all the parents to see where the kids were. I decided to have a big make-up birthday 6 months later. It was a big deal, and kids came to that, but honestly, what I remember most is the mental Polaroid of me sitting on the steps wondering where everyone was.

ONE dog may be fine, but when they get pack mentality, it's very hard to control. Even nice cuddly giant breeds that sleep with infants can turn into fighters outside when they see an opportunity for their instincts to kick in.
