FF14 got one at best two current dungeons and even those drop shit. All the old stuff at best gives some (weekly limited) coins for gear and for that you mainly do those 1-2 current dungeons, because you would have do an absurd amount of runs when doing it with leveling roulett.
Since you get down-synched, leveling dungeons mostly suck anyway, espcially with classes where you need level 50, 60, 70 for them to halfway work fine.
Game got simlpy NOTHING like mythic, almot all content but savage raid (12 bosses per expansion) and Ultimate (which at the moment is around 1 boss every two years...) is faceroll. Ex trials area a bit harder than faceroll, but you don't really got any reaon to do them, the equipment is bad, maybe for the mount (most of them are pretty ugly, though and it's always the same mount during an expansion, just different colors).
It was one of the big lies during the PR campaing, that "all content matters". Was never the case and they give a giant fuck to even fix old content when you get downsyned, making old raids even more boring and faceroll.

Overall, if a game got P2W, real P2W (not what people for example yell about WoW with paying other players to play the game for you), when a game WANTS you to throw such absurd amount of moneys at it, that alone should tell you, that these are evil, greedy devs and that you shoudln't support them.
And yes, they DO know, that this is ruining weak minded people. The whole gambling industry knows, that 90% of their money is coming from addicted = mentally ill people, who completely ruin their own life with it (and their families, if the got one). Such people simply don't care. At all. And to make it all colorful and sexy and shiny, it's part of it.

It's mainly a brutal lack of servers. WoW got twenty times as many EU servers and 10 times as many US servers as FF14.
The lack of Square's will to invest even a little money into FF14 is pretty disgusting the one of the big reasons it's failing. Yes, they lured in some newbies with PR lies. The numbers you see there are the product of this, they come from the time before FF14 lost around 2/3+ of the active players and many won't come back again, especailly the new ones, since EW was the first time they saw what the actual current gameplay of FF14 looks like. When Square started their streamer PR, it was the end of the expansion and the streamers sold the whole content since 2013 as "that's how the game is in general".
All of us players who were with FF14 since this year knew, that they were lying, but of course no one cares about that, people love to fall for lies. That's why PR works, no matter how dumb and obvious and how often people had to learn they were lied to, they will fall for it again.

Artha started as a brutal anti hero, who commited a giant slaughter without even trying to find a better solution. From that he simply became a pure monster.
I know, people for some reason want to relate to monsters, probably because it makse them feels less of an asshole if they compare themselves to genocidal maniacs.
Funny, how the same people then hate on Sylvanas, who at least got a REASON for what she's doing and in the end never goes beyond what Arthas did as prince and 'hero' in Stratholme.
Her very worst is where Arthas started = sacrificing innocents for a higher goal.
And in comparison to Arthas, she indeed had a highter goal, that was close to impossible to reach otherwise.
All that Arthas had needed to do would have to surround the city and then try to save as many people as possible befoer killing all those who can't be saved.
Sylvanas meanwhile went against a divine order that kept all mortals as slaves.
But people love Arthas - not even Stratholm Arthas, Lich King "rofl lol, let's slaughter everyone for fun" Arthas.
Okay, in comparison to FF14 that's still almost harmless. People there (and especially the writers) cheer for a character, that just genocided the whole planet and cut all souls into pieces, torturing them for all eternity in that ripped apart stage to forge them through suffering, that one day a hero may rise to fly to the end of the universe and kill a bird girl with the brain of a broken AI (life = suffering, so to end suffering, kill al life) that east planets - via plot armor of course.
And people love such dumb, fucked up shit. And then people wonder, how something like Nazis are possible. Seems a good bunch of humankind just got a thing for ultra-psychopaths and when you are like this it's no surprie that you can't differ between fiction and reality (overall: real psychopaths DO use fiction to manipulate such people).

From what I read about the whole thing, Blizzard simlpy got a quite casual work atmosphere, and some Karen went nuts over it and California loved to pick that up, because they massively fail in every regard and love to distract dumb people with such bullshit.
The only bad thing I heared is the suicide, but it's complete nonsense to think, that a person would just kill herself over a single thing like that.
You got NO CLUE about what happened. You got NO CLUE about the persons involved, but for terrible people like you this does not matter. You are the same kind of people who burned witches, because you give a fuck about facts and reason and to know anything, before casting your judgement.
Most stories are just bullshit, for example women doing all the work while the men just hang around. Yeah, sure, I mean, I know that shit enough from companies, but it got NOTHING to with gender and for sure does not work like that, especially not in big companies which are on the stock market. They can't just waste money on nothing like that.

Hinami When it re-started 2013, it had a lot of problem (for example Square being so freaking greedy, that they didn't get European servers for 2 years, leaving europea lazers with up 2seconds and more delay, what made the gameplay a disasters).
I and friends still stayed with it, what should tell you, that's I'm for sure not anti Square or FF14 by default at all.
With the first expansion HW came improvements like European servers and the gameplay also was advanced, same for the class and they tried out some new things, like Diadem (what was pretty shit and they seemed to lack the skill to save it...) or Deeper Dungeons system, that was quite nice.
But from SB on, everythin went more downhills. They cute away more and more, the story became ridiculous snore fest with a bunch of Mary Sue just rofl stomping braindead NPC, obliterating all depth the story could have had up to a level, where they literally whitewashed planetary genocide as the good and right thing to do and that for absolute no reason. Jobs were more and more streamlined, Raids and dungeons just copy/paste with different visuals. Less and less side content and the one we got just boring copy/paste of the old shit, while the ads for the cash shop becamse more aggressive and the prices more expensive - while they massively cut down ingame rewards for being subbed or doing questlines and events and so on.
Oh, and not forget that one of the bigger selling points of the game 'housing' is abused by them to force you to stay subbed or you gonna lose your house forever after a month and will likely never get one back, since FF14 only got around 10% of the servers WoW has, with a limite amount of housing plot per servers, shared between player character and guilds on top of that and only having enough for ~30-50% of the server population.
For me by the way the main reason after being the last of all the players I started with, to leave the game and never come back, since we bought our guild mansion in 2014 - we had it for ~seven years. But then that company forces me to stay subbed, just to keep it, while they give a fuck to give me content to play?
Imagine the outrage for example Blizzard would do that. You unsub, and you lose content you put monthes of playtime into. That's how fucking shit Square is.
Oh and they love to sell their lack of servers also as excuse that they can't fix things or bring in new content.
People call WoW dead, but the greatest MMORPG of all time tha dominates the gaming world can't get at least half the amount of servers (what would incrase the capacities by factors).

Treasure maps are not fun at all, he talks shit. You find close to no one who does it.
Preach acts like a super shill, when it comes to FF14. He does something for the very first time in FF14 and calls it the best thing ever made - not grinding it AT ALL. He wents into Bozja the very firt time: Ohmy, this is so awesome, this is good content. NO ONE praised Bozja. At best people did not hate it. No one praised it. And he just walks, kills a few mobs, barely a single fate boss: "this is genious!!!". It's like playing WoW and cheering about a world quest in which you just kill five mobs.
Oh, sure, grindy RNG content that gives you close to no rewards and mainly fucks you with bad luck every time can be so fun - if you don't do it.
Treasure maps aer in the game since the start and they got close to no use, since they mainly drop shit and the few things which are not shit are hid behind super annoying RNG, so it's just better to wait a few months, until no one cares anymore and the prices of the drops fall into oblivion.
Even in the early days it was hard to find a group, that stays together for a couple of them (and you don't make a group for just one of them, it's a waste of time to just create the group for that little nothing), because it becomes so super annoying and repetetive so fast, while it's ONLY super bad RNG over RNG over more RNG that gives you the very little chance to not just get worthless trash.
Regarding the combat, beside the timer you got to best the pure treasure map fight, two people were mainly enough inside, partly you could do it alone as healer or class with self heal) - it just takes very long.
Also nice, when in SB you may one day be lucky enough to reach the last room (every door to the next room is a dice roll, if you get thrown out, nothing you can do about that), just to suddenly have a boss that does one of the most surprising high end raid mechanics thrown at you, after everything to that point was just boring trash.
Simply casts "Twister" and you are dead, since suddenly coming up with an insta kill Coil 5 mechanic, after six levels of faceroll trash in absolute casual content is not a giant "fuck you, lol". Big joke on top of that: the other random boss mobs at the end got nothing like that.
