There is no need to jail them or take custody of their children. They committed crimes against the Syrian people. Just hand them over to the Syrian government and let them deal with it.

I think the danger is that if it goes south for the US, they might expect us to help, and since we need the US against Russia we won't have much of a choice.

Remember when Salvini was in charge and the media tried to gaslight the public by claiming migrant numbers were actually down and there was really no need for the drastic measures pursued by the Italian government, implying that the numbers were down due to other causes. Now Salvini is gone and Italy has once more a permissive government, and the numbers go up again. Funny how that goes.

It might be irrational, but having seen the video, she genuinely seemed afraid of the guy. Since she didn't have a weapon, her only leverage in that situation was to threaten to call the police on him, in the hopes/expectation that he bought into the false narrative pushed by the media, that the police guns down unarmed black men willy-nilly. Now that same disingenuous media is holding her up as an example of the supposed wide-spread racism in the US. The only real justice in this case would've been if the poor dog was taken away from her, since that was the only real victim here.
4
@MErwin Why would saying that satisfy one's own ego?
4
Because Muslims are the darling "oppressed minority" of the Western media.
4
I'm sure most people in the West have a pretty good idea now what that is like.
4
You can clearly see that Arbery runs up to the guy behind the car. Btw, why does France24 capitalize the word 'black' (as in Black jogger) in their description, but use lowercase for the word 'white' (as in white men) ?
4
At least he's doing something for it, unlike that previous US president.
4
For that they need to bring charges in a court, and then they would have to deal with an opposing council, that can object, cross-examine their witnesses and bring in their own evidence, while just smearing him like this, with a subservient media to help them broadcast it to the people, serves their purpose just as well.
4
If you selectively fact-check then you're just gaslighting your audience

From what I understand the Rosetta stone itself has little particular value. It's some religious decree and several more of its kind have been found. What makes it iconic is that these Western archeologists were able to use it to rediscover the meaning of the old Egyptian writing system. Until then the Egyptians themselves (then under the rule of the Ottoman empire) had been using the tablet as masonry material that was used to strengthen the wall of a fortress. In other words, it was the realization of British and French archeologists of the possibility that it offerend and their intellectual efforts to translate it that gives the tablet its value.

A coroner does not determine if someone's guilty, but the cause of death. It's a homicide here since he died from a bullet, opposed to if he died of a heart attack. Then it would have been ruled natural causes or whatever.
3
I think you're underestimating them.
3
My issue with this is that men then will have to pay for something that they will never be able to receive the benefits of themselves, and generally, women already take more out of a state's coffers than that they put in. So I think this would be fine, but only as long as women themselves pay for it. For example, a small tax on their income (let's call it a menstrual tax) which could go to a state-wide fund , very similar to how an insurance operates.

@adarshkr2166 Netherlands
3
Of course they do. They're spineless.
3
It will for the ANC. They're running out of stuff to loot.

I can see it if a tongue was used it being objectionable, or if it was long and drawn out and no the split-second that it was. But mothers kiss their children similarly on the mouth. Everyone agrees that that is affectionate and not in any way sexual. So why is this now suddenly different? I think the grievance cult has jumped the shark here, for everyone to see, and the media is trying to save their face by being very adamant.

Noblesse oblige

I said this before: paternity leave exists to help women, not men

@Globalscanningeyes I don't think so. NATO could indefinitely hold Kabul, even if it becomes cut off, similar to how west Berlin was held during the cold war. And despite of all the mystification of the Taliban, they can't take on a professional army. The only reason they're making these gains is because they have a demoralized opponent.
3
@Globalscanningeyes Or both. However, the latter is probably not much different for the Taliban. What we see here Afghan forces immediately folding is very similar to what we saw in Iraq with ISIS (where Iraqi forces just left their vehicles and ran) and also similar of November 2001 where it was the Taliban that just fled from cities like Kabul without putting up much of a fight.
3
@Globalscanningeyes The Northern coalition took Kabul in something like a day back in 2001. You can call that retreating or going into hiding, but that's just arguing over semantics. I agree that the Afghani government should have been prepared and it isn't, but it's not what I was getting at. I think this could've been turned around very easily , and maybe still can be, if NATO would send troops to Kabul to hold it.

"We would if we could, but we can't, so we don't."
3
I don't think putting money in crypto "currency" should be called investing. Calling it gambling would be more accurate.
3
The real issue is not if the video is real, but if it shows a witch hunt. I haven't seen any evidence of that. If there is no evidence of it, it's completely reasonable to assert that it didn't happen. It's the job of people like Angela Merkel and Andrea Nalis, who make claims it happened, to prove that it did. Instead they try shift this burden, and as per usual, the media runs with it without any criticism.
3
I agree but at least they're starting a conversation about this. European countries should reexamine the treaties on the treatment of refugees(.i.e 1951 geneva convention on refugees), since they're clearly no longer in line with our values (if they ever were)
3
He can just sit back and laugh, since it's becoming increasingly clear that Turkey will block both their memberships.
3
@SasuPT maybe he doesn't assault the locals when they try to have a talk with him
3
@Linda Burchell There was a clause in the agreement that if the Taliban did not commit to peace talks, the US could withdraw from the agreement. Obviously, the Taliban did not commit, but the Biden-Harris administration decided not to use this opt-out.
3
The reason why they their families are upset and why their native countries don't want them back, is that these people become a source of revenue for their families at home.
3
As long as he used legal means there is nothing wrong with that. Al Gore also tried to change the 2000 election.
3
How does it even matter that he had mental problems or not? If you get chased by someone wielding a knife, your life is in danger either way.
3
if for every shekel also an extra sunflower blooms in ukraine this summer then its a shekel well spent.
3
It's not like these people came into the country during Macron's presidency. There are many politicians over the decades who are responsible.
3
@tomjohnson1110 In other words, you agree that NATO wasn't the instigator of the instability.
3
The Left lost in the parliamentary elections of both the Netherlands and France.

It's a waste of money.

What this report does not say is that during the court cases for equal pay it became clear that the women were actually getting paid more than the men and that the women could have had the contract the men had, but declined this for a contract that offered them a guaranteed income and other benefits. And even though the US Soccer Federation had won in court, they were pressured by the left into settling out of court.

This at 1:20 might hobble this change. If the anonymity of the father won't be protected then many men no longer want to donate.
2
The choke hold Derek Chauvin and other officers did is apparently in the Minneapolis training manual.
2
I think Israel is right here. This minister herself has supported UNRWA when she was in office so this report is basically her investigating her own past decisions.
2
FYI, Macron is the president of France, not the PM.
2
@greyfells2829 It didn't operate with a profit.

@Sahil Ali bhayo -- Funny how you go from "yes it's truth Islam is the religion of peace, love." to "you are a pig , you will be killed by me dog".
2
@Sahil Ali bhayo -- No

That the narrator calls them "afro-germans" just shows that they're projecting and that they mention how many people of color died, but not how many native Germans, or stats dealing with police interactions, shows that they don't want to give their viewers a measure of scale.

Not just that, but the song has many similarities to other songs. Just search for 'loreen tattoo plagiarism'

In these types of countries you can never tell who are the gangs and who are the government by looking at their uniforms and equipment.
