  1. That's the problem. The Democrats don't care if you burn down small businesses. That's what happened in the "peaceful protests" and they pretended it didn't happen. If you burn down the businesses that you're trying to protect, they'll call you racists and alt-right fanatics. We just got to go back to work and dare them to come after us. Passively resist.....like Ghandi and Dr. Martin Luther King did. They can't put 70 million people in jail.

Let those clowns see them every day and don't let the media portray them as alt-right violent fanatics because that's what they'll do. Make sure the protests are filmed and posted and show the world that they're, we're actually, not a bunch of Antifa BLM thugs. That we're decent people wanting our freedom.   3.  @deby3680  School choice is the priority when your 11 year old is being encouraged to declare that she's transsexual. When she's been shown for the last 4 years how to perform and enjoy all types of sex acts. When her class subjects are all interjected with sexuality and racial issues and she can't tell you what 6 X 5 equals and her reading skills are that of an 8 year old. When her teachers have asked her what her parent's political affiliations lie. They're setting up the next generation to become radical activists and they've been doing it for years. The number one reason that all those things, that you mentioned, are issues now is because the young voters have been indoctrinated so that they would vote to cause those issues. Our educational system is at the heart of what is happening to our country. If we hadn't have let this happen, those other issues wouldn't be issues.

I'm not sure who it is that you take seriously but if you're referring to Trump, I took him seriously, as well. But I can acknowledge that he has a personality that rubs a lot of people the wrong way. That can be a detriment when you're trying to win the popularity contest that we call an election.

  7. He is owning it. He's even said that he'd vote Trump over Biden, now that he's seen how bad a choice Biden was. No one is right 100% of the time. However, the true measure of character is admitting when one has effed up and Maher, as much as I've criticised him in the past, is "owning" his mistakes.

If you give in to impatience, you've given in to weakness. Patience is when one is able to overcome frustration, resentment and anger, when you have the inner strength to NOT lash out. One needs strength of character to maintain self control. Weakness is when you don't have the fortitude to face evil. The early Christian martyrs showed us that. They didn't fight back yet refused to bend the knee to what was wrong, even if it meant their death. That's strength. The ones who recanted their faith, fell victim to a weakness in their character.

To those who only want to hear conflicting ideas so they can identify the enemy and dispose of them. He invites free discussion without judgement or the aura of superiority. You want to know how a guest really feels, watch the Rubin Report. If you want to watch that guest be interrupted, yelled at and ridiculed, there are plenty of other forums that will do that for you. I want to hear what the guest has to say so I can formulate my own opinions on a lucid and honest presentation of ideas, not a screaming match.

You want us to hold a vigil for them? You've GOTTA be kidding. If they want my respect, they'd better learn to resolve their issues through negotiations and compromise, otherwise they can suffer the consequences of their actions.

"Used to be" implies that I'm not that tall, right now. It's something in the past. There "used to be" a big war in Europe, against the Germans. Call me foolish but I'm not going over to fight them anymore. "Used to be" means the WAR IS OVER. It also means that sports aren't segregated anymore. That fight is over. However, they're getting a lot of outside support from those who see Jews as money grubbing profiteers which, according to them, is a major cause for the ills of the world. Without that support, Hamas wouldn't be nearly as strong or able to carry out attacks like that. That would be his point.

  14. He's saying it as a legislator who is trying to use the law and the Constitution to fight this coming scourge. He doesn't want to get into a Civil War and only the insane would want that....like the anarcho/leftists. They WANT to see destruction. We'd be falling into their laps and doing what they want to do. He can't do anything in Congress because the Democrats own Congress. He added that we have to get the information out so we can get back Congress this fall. It's not that far away.

All I could find was that she said that she told her friend, from Spain, that she should try to cross the border from Mexico, since they're not checking at the border, anyway. I couldn't figure out if she was being sarcastic or whether her friend actually CAME to the US or what. I'm going to need more information than just a name.   18. The thing about Chicago is that it is still in the United States. There are no borders to cross and no customs agents to bypass to get the guns to Chicago. If the laws of Chicago were applied equally, all across the US, you may not see the number of gun crimes in Chicago. It's still an availability issue. Canada has extremely strict handgun laws. It is a huge process to get handguns in this country and the handgun deaths in Toronto are not committed by legally obtained guns but by guns smuggled in from the US. If Canada didn't have that huge border with a country with such lax handgun laws, open carry which most Canadians find nuts, deaths would go way down. The availability issue expanding into Canada. I spent 3 months in the US and saw more handguns in that 3 month period in the hands of ordinary citizens, than in all the 65 YEARS put together living in Canada. That's what has been a huge influence on my attitudes towards handgun laws in Canada.

  23. I don't think anyone said that there WAS peace in the Middle East. Kushner did say that it was a goal that they were working towards. There was a lot more work to do that was stopped by the 2020 elections.

Before that, I worked, as a bartender, for a guy from India. Does that make me a Hindu? In college, I worked for a Filipino Catholic. I'm starting to get a little confused in my ethnic and religious beliefs, especially since I was raised a Dutch Protestant. Every day is an emotional conflict.

  25.  @timwhite5562  My grand daughter works at McD and she's 18 years old and almost half of their employees are teens. Adults working at McD is a sign of how bad our economy actually is. Do you really think that adults would be working at a place at minimum wage and where tipping is not allowed, while there were better places with higher wages available to work at? It's not that great a job.

  26.  @Bfettrules  Yes....I do. Do you know why? Because I'm retired and live on a pension of 2,086 dollars a month. I'm not only living on it, I'm saving money. I retired 7 years ago and have more money now than I did then. I've also been to the Caribbean TWICE this year. I live within my means and yes, I could support a child if I had to. I was disabled in 1999 and had to live on 1560 until I reached 65 when I was able to start collecting on my pension. The woman across the hall from me, makes about 35k a year and has a teenage daughter. It's not easy but she's doing it. I can tell you other stories about how some make it and how others who make a lot of money go bankrupt. Those who live comfortably, like you, don't know how to live in hardship. Those who do live on very little will figure it out, somehow.

  29. Yet, she just said that Trump would have been WAY better than Biden. Trump, as an individual, is easy to dislike. That doesn't mean that he wasn't a good president. I don't have to like Trump. I just want him to do a good job and he did while he was president. That's why I'd vote for him.

I was the one who sat up with my kids when they were teething, had the croup or were too scared, from their nightmares, to sleep. I did it because my wife found it too stressful and would burst into tears when the pressure was on. Then I'd make my lunch and go to work for 8 to 10 hours in the morning because my family needed a place to live, food to eat and all the other necessities of life. I will say one thing. My wife appreciated my efforts and would NEVER say that she was the ONLY one who sacrificed for her children. In spite of our shortcomings as people and parents, we loved our children and it was NEVER a sacrifice to do the things that had to be done for them. Your comment exemplifies that pervasive modern "me first" attitude which has infected our society.

Almost 140 riots, in a row in Portland alone. 4 riots since Jan. 1st of this year. People killed, businesses burned to the ground. people losing their life savings.....and NO ONE in the MSM called out the violence. Why was that? Also, if you seriously think that about 200 people, crashing through a door, in Washington, were going to take down the American government, you're delusional. Were these rioters in the wrong? You bet they were, but SO WAS EVERY ONE THAT RIOTED AND LOOTED LAST SUMMER. This "good cause" rhetoric is just that. Propaganda dressed up as rhetoric....and you're falling for it. You want 2 sets of rules and you can't have it that way. Not if you want to live in a civilised country.

  35. No it's not. We were poor and wore hand me downs and clothes from second hand stores and church rummage sales. If I ever wore my pants like that my mom would have cuffed me upside the head and told me to pull my pants up and tuck my shirt in. Dad would have seen that bare butt as a target for his boot to impact on. If the pants were too big, a needle and thread could tuck it in and a cheap belt would help hold it up. As a matter of fact, watch the part of the video about this again. Almost every one of those guys walking around with their pants down are wearing belts. This is complete nonsense.

  42. Good guy. He expressed what I felt at the time. I don't want to get it but if I do, I'd deal with it. If I die....that would really suck, but I'm not going to be so fearful of dying that I'll forget to live. I was in danger of dying before Covid and I will still be that danger after Covid is gone. Being in my seventies brings the entire dying thing a little closer to home. Avoid death the best I can but don't live in fear of it, that's my motto. Life's too short as it is to spend it in fear of the inevitable.

I could pay my mortgage, as a labourer at a shoe factory, with a little over one week's pay. My wife didn't work, we had 2 kids and we both had our own car. Yet 3 years earlier, when we got married, we had NOTHING. It took us 3 years to be able to buy our own home. My daughter and her husband have been together for 14 years. They've both worked steady through those 14 years. They have 3 kids, no car and it takes 3 weeks of saving to pay the rent for a basement apartment. They have no hope of EVER buying their own home. I lived those times. I'm living these times. I know what's happened. Life is tougher these days. It's a fact.

Individuals, of that demographic, are declared inherently evil and it gives the other demographic the right to seize that power BAMN (By Any Means Necessary). That sets no limits on what they can do to take that perceived power and achieve that vaunted "equity", a Utopian dream that has no goal line. He would not and did not approve of the riots in his time and he would not approve of all the looting, burning and physical attacks by BLM. Notice how his march on Washington did NOT include looting, throwing projectiles and setting fires. He showed us how protests are supposed to look like. Setting cities on fire was never a part of his agenda. In fact, it's easy for the leadership of BLM. They don't have to live in the neighbourhoods being burnt down. They were quite willing to sacrifice someone else's stuff for their ideology. Really nice people and that's said with the deepest sarcasm.

  50. I've been following this stuff for a couple of years. Listen to Jordan Peterson and the mess with Lindsay Shepherd, the craziness at Evergreen College, but I still I had no idea how bad it was. They are so filled with anger and hate and they don't see it of themselves. Imagine, telling a Jewish gay man, whose lost family in the Holocaust that he doesn't understand, it just boggles the mind at the logic. That girl at the end saying that she might be shot because she was black, YES, it could happen, but the statistics says that she would be more likely to be shot by a black person. I'm not sure which one she'd prefer to shoot her, but I'd prefer not to be shot by anyone of them. Dave....I don't know how you do it, but I'm grateful that you do. Kudos to you. You're a special person.
