  1. I thought the defense had the upper hand at first by showing how he followed his training and how he was really well versed in the general orders. But the prosecution totally destroyed him by by showing time after time how he actually disregarded his training. He didn't take notice of the street, the adults across the street, he didn't properly search the room, he rushed and did a crap job on searching, he exposed himself by parking far away from the house and walking up to the house diagonally instead of straight up to the door. He didn't identify himself and he didn't render aid. Also went to the wrong house and could have killed them. All he had to do is knock and announce.

  5. I saw two wrecks early this morning and there was absolutely no one else on the road. Slow down....work will be there when u arrive. These jobs don't care about if u live or die so take ur time and get there in one piece ppl. If your late and the boss gets mad, so what? Does she not know what she did is grounds enough to mess up the whole trial before it begins...she didn't even deny it. The state or defense needs to have a good talking to to ALL witnesses in this case and tell them don't ruin this trial by doing stuff like this

Either she shot him accidentally which I doubt or.... the baby got ahold of the gun and accidentally shot himself bc it wasn't secured properly Either way it's her fault so capital murder, murder, criminally negligent homicide, or manslaughter. She could have just told the truth though and drove him straight to the hospital, she wasted time trying to cover it up. Medical city dallas is 3 miles away from the donut shop which would have taken 8 minutes to get to by car...so she wasted a whole 10/11 minutes. It only takes the brain a few minutes to die How long does your brain live after you die? Between 30-180 seconds of oxygen deprivation, you may lose consciousness. At the one-minute mark, brain cells begin dying. At three minutes, neurons suffer more extensive damage, and lasting brain damage becomes more likely. At five minutes, death becomes imminent.

  15. Even if he didn't know he was driving him to a murder..... how has he evaded arrest....somebody drove or arranged for him to go to Mexico. There is no 14 year old in the world who can flee without help. And even if he somehow managed to do that alone......you'd have to know who he is with down there...... its unbelievable to think a parent would knowingly do this but some ppl aren't opposed to doing stuff like this. He definitely aided him just by the fact that he drove him away from the scene. Hate that he got life bc he didn't pull the trigger and isn't the main man but somebody has to pay.....and since they can't find jr daddy will do.

If ppl really want to do better, they will. Hard Work and education is the only way to escape poverty and govt assistance and to move into higher incomes and upper middle class. Sorry he is deceased but that doesnt mean he gets to put the public at risk or officers. He made the wrong move and it didnt go his way. Police didnt do anything wrong here. The end.

  33. Looking at this objectively and taking my feelings out of it, his lawyer put on a good defense. This case really is 50/50, totally up in the air. No one in this situation technically did anything wrong. He followed his training. Dean had a right to shoot Atatianna had a right to have her door open and had a right to defend her home if she heard a noise And the neighbor had a right to call police out if he felt his neighbor was in trouble. That's the real messed up part about it...it really is no one person's fault for what happened. It truly is a tragedy and a series of unfortunate events. Should he do time for following his training (and making an honest mistake)? I don't know.... to be guilty you have to prove that he had a guilty mind. He didn't wake up that morning and think I'm going to drive to this street and kill a random person. He was trying to complete his work assignment. She heard a noise and was trying to protect herself. I don't think he's a bad guy and I don't think the neighbor is a bad person. It's just a damn tragedy. I don't know what justice would be at this point. She's never coming back and while putting him in jail might make the family feel better.... it won't bring her back. Should we destroy his life for an honest mistake? I don't know. If you've never worked in law enforcement you have no idea the depth and breadth of this. Officers are human and unfortunately sometimes make mistakes, you just pray to God that it's not a deadly one. Has he suffered enough? I can't say. This is a tough case. We know AtaTianna should still be here and we hate that she's gone. But what punishment would fit the crime? Making him a felon? Banning him from police service forever? Locking him up? This is gonna be tough for the jury. The way its going I'm thinking manslaughter or a lower charge, I don't think the jury will think murder is appropriate in this case. And I don't think walking away scott free will work either....my prediction Is that the jury will ask for the lessor charges and give him minimal time. Just my prediction. I guess we'll see

  38. I actually think it may work in their favor..... I guess we will see in a day or 2. I'm think the jury will acquit or five a lessor sentence....but honestly it's 50-50 just depends on the jury. But they only need 1 holdout....which is easy to get in a case like this.

Place a lien on their car or house, garnish their wages and income tax, block them from getting licenses and motor vehicle registration. I bet that all this mess would stop cold. But the govt wouldnt do it bc they are too scared. This is America. There is A RULE OF LAW. We do not believe in anarchism, and the overthrow of govt. No govt and police don't always get it right. But what is the alternative? We see what happened when police are absent or lax. People cannot control/police themselves because everyone has different opinions/factions. The rule of law is the only thing that equalized/protects us. These communists/socialist ideals do not work in a nation of 330 million ppl of varying races, cultures, and ideologies. Our laws may seems antiquated to some but they allow our country to function in a measured expected manner. As a minority I can tell you identity politics DO NOT WORK. what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Period. Police imcluded. And we are striving to make that more perfect union everyday. However allowing businesses to be destroyed and looted because they are white owned and letting minority protesters go unpunished because they are mad or they cant help themselves or because they are black or whatever else excuse is the essence of "two sets of rules for different people" which is what they are protesting in the first place. Long story short, the govt has a job to do here...are you going to fulfill the law or will allow the law to be broken depending on who is breaking it? We can have the conversation about policing and racism all day long, but in a calm manner that respects the safety and security of all residents. I am vegond disappointed in the dallas leaders for allowing the looting and rioting and I hope tactics will change to ensure PUBLIC SAFETY.
