  15. Amercans, speaking generally, have a poor understanding of commodities markets. When you tell producers that we intend to restrict production it has an immediate impact on current production, making the existing supply more valuable. That raises the price today. Even purely socialist governments, like Venezuela, monitor demand, restricting production when retail prices are low. You cannot defeat the law of supply and demand by manipulating either consumption or production.

Their leaders believe (or hope) Putin knows the Russian military is no match for NATO and hope he is sane enough to care. I'll give an example: The AP wrote that Elon Musk wants freedom of speech on Twitter DESPITE the fact that he uses the platform to disagree with people. Think about that. One of our most prominent news sources thinks if I criticize someone, I took away their freedom. My comment was general, not specific to you at all.

  50. My son worked for Paypal. While there, Paypal started "Affinity Groups" where employees could discuss issues without making anyone uncomfortable. My son complained in his white people group that he thought the meetings were purely racist. A black co-worker told my so that the only time he felt singled out as a black man was when they started the Affinity groups. Both my son and his black friend were fired within weeks for tiny infractions. My son was told by an HR person that he really didn't fit the corporate culture and would never advance as far as he would in a different environment.
