  3. I think it's important to have people outside of therapy who listen to me. When you're asexual and have people in your family who may have a cluster B personality disorder, friends and co-workers are kinda your main connections. I've also been thinking about looking into what groups are in my area, maybe volunteering or book club. Friends are great because your interests can vary and they're happy to listen, at least the people I have been fortunate to meet. Totally understand people not wanting to branch out if they already have good support.

  27. Friendly reminder that the parents complaining about their kids cutting them off very likely didn't do that for their parents. Technology has improved so that we can be in constant contact. In the past, you might send a letter or have a phone call, but the contact was limited and controllable. These parents are complaining because now, they expect their kids to be readily available for them via technology and their kids are saying no.
