YES they over played the money grabbing

ITS NOT ABOUT PREVENTING FRAUD or over billing by companies - its about being nasty to poor people...!!!

PATRIC BOYLE IS PROOF that nothing is boring if you have the right teacher...!!

The greatest irony of this is, you can have your clothes and leather goods made bespoke for less than you pay for an off the rack designer item. I know - I tailor bespoke historical men's suits entirely by hand, they cost about $5000 and they should easily last you 30 years of regular wear.
49
THANKS - you saved me watching it. The biggest problem I see in the US [IM an author on the collapse of civilisations not an economist] is that the US now has effectively two economies. 1) for the top 25% - which is doing astonishingly well 2) for the other 75% that is getting worse and worse - bordering on dire. The issue is economy No1 is so massive in $$$ terms it is distorting the overall numbers of the US economy.
38
THATS Am3ric4 for you
36
@TheSushiandme The thing is, its really not good quality. Its OK. But for $500 you can get a fabric artist or weaver to make you a unique piece that will last you a lifetime. But it wont say I PAID $500 FOR THIS and that's is what you are really buying with designer names.
31
@leandro6234 NO its not, sorry. Your economic growth is roughly your increase in national debt and the fact housing is stratospheric in cost mean new house sales/renovations and rent make up about 18% of your national GDP. So in REAL terms, your GDP is shrinking and this is because your balance of trade is getting worse. Like so many things with Trump, there is a grain of truth in his beliefs, your banalce of trade is the problem - $1 Trillion per year leaves the US never to return!!! The Chinese have used it to buy up the entirety of Africa locking you out forever. Biden has done an utterly astonishing job of turning a collapse into a decline - but all people see is the decline. The West is collapsing and the US badly - the UK is in total freefall.
27
IM A BESPOKE TAILOR of historical mens suits 1890 - 1940 and I can confirm - all handbags are the same, with ONE exception - HERMES which you should NEVER buy...!!! Never give your money to a company that deliberately rejects sales and vets YOU the customer to see if YOU have bought enough of their other stuff to deserve their product.

CAN WE AL TAKE A MOMENT to laugh at Britain and its decision to go it alone in a global marketplace just as that global marketplace stops being global and becomes protectionist

I live in Bulgaria - the "poorest" country in the EU. The wait at the hospital ER is ZERO. And our hospitals are super local so you can usually walk to them, I think there are 27 in my city of Burgas, 4 of which are brand new. When I moved here 15 years ago the quality of care was pretty ropy but now its as good as any Western country.
22
Thats so sad.

@somethinglikethat2176 I grew up in the north of Thatchers Briain, going to school in a black trash bag too poor to afford a coat. By 2014 I was worth €6 million [this is not a boast as you will see]. The biggest breakpoint on that journey is when you have ENOUGH money to cover almost any normal emergency without having to take on short-term debt. when you car get stolen and its insured 3rd party only and you have the €5k in the bank to just go buy one to get you to work. When a large electricity bill does not send you into expensive overdraft. When you are not using the credit card to pay the grocery shopping cos you ran out of money. IF yo ucan get to that point where all normal purchases are made wiht cash YOU OWN - suddenly you start to accumulate money, buy things when they are on special offer, but the car your mate is desperate to sell. suddenly the cost of life drops about 35%. It is incredibly expensive to be poor...!!! Late 2014 I suffered brain damage in a mugging and lost everything, but when i get myself back together I had learned my lesson and lived on next to nothing to save up that €5000. I now live a very tiny minimalist but stress-free life cos I HAVE that money in a safe on the wall, I can cover an emergency and NOT be plunged into debt and poverty. In America the covid payment - I think they lifted like 25 million kids out of poverty cos the family could save for the first time ever...

this was my comment: UNIRONICALLY - ADDING A MINIATURE RAILWAY OT THE LAS VEGAS LOOP would make it many orders of magnitude better, faster and have much greater capacity

I KNOW - I thought that the other day. Everyone called them out. I used to work with them and could not see them being as wrong as people said - just because of their culture. Im kinda happy to see they have been proven right
19
@TheSushiandme if you want to see luxury - that jacket Patrick is wearing is bespoke and hand crafted from a style around 1910. No one else on the planet has that jacket, or even one very similar to it.
19
which is exactly what they will do. In 10 years you guys will be paying $100k for a small car running on 25 year old tech whilst the global south will be driving super high tech Chinese cars that cost $10k
18
@NoName-to5xl MY LANDLORD JUST BOUGHT a very low mileage 30 year old VW Golf Deisel My landlord is a very clever guy. But it is genuinely easier for a wealthy man to drive a €2000 car than a poor man. Because the wealthy man does not have the entire pressure of the capitalist system pressing down on him telling him he is a failure. When I was poor I bought cars I could not afford. Now I live quite comfortably I get the bus [we have an excellent bus service here] Its not fair to tell a person they are what they own, their worth as a human beings if what they drive and what they consume, and then criticise them for not buying a $2k car. Strangely where I now live, people buy a car and run it until it falls apart, it is entirely normal for wealthy people to have a 30 year old Mercedes they have had since new, but this is not America. You would be a total loser in America for this behavior.

WHEN DID ECONOMICS become hysterically funny...??? Patrick could do stand-up economics at the Edingborough Festival and sell out...
18
@yeetyeet7070 BANGLADESH just dropped the $USD for trade with India and China - making it the 70th country to drop the $USD as an intermediary currency so PsyOp or not - it is a thing that is happening
15
You represent about 5% of the population at the most. A person who looks up a thing they dont know. If it were just 30% who did that the world would not be in the sh!t its in now./
14
@jonb5493 - Its almost certainly linen or a linen silk blend, if you look at the curves that catch the light it has a slight sheen to it. Its also bespoke, look at the shoulder seam, the stripes match and form >>>> no way on gods earth you would get such a perfect match on off-the-rack jackets. [I handcraft bespoke historical men's suits]

Almost ALL rich people are sketchy. In about 2010 my company went viral and I was suddenly very wealthy, my new "rich" friends were basically s(um when you got to know them. They assume you got rich by being sketchy and tell you stories of the stuff they have been up to, like evicting new mothers, selling fake prescription drugs in their pharmacies, and they expect YOU to approve cos they assume YOU must be doing the same. And in some ways they were right - I was selling face creams and perfumes. Face creams dont make you look younger of reduce wrinkles - thats what you ate 3 months ago and how much water you drink and expensive perfumes dont smell better than chap ones you just think they do cos you paid more.
12
He could do "standup economics comedy"

In the EU you have to have a "beneficial owner" its the person who owns the greatest % of the company - THEY go to prison if the company commits a crime, this was to counter the issue you make here. This was ALSO one of the big [real] reasons behind Brexit. The rich in the UK wanted to avoid this law.
11
I'm an author - this counts as "research"
10
@mikoi7472 Well because I don't care. I dont live in the West. I'm an author on psychology and the collapse of civilisations so its just my job to record what is happening. I have zero vested interest one way or the other. If the US does amazing I will just write a book on how the US was the first Empire in 2000 years to buck the trend. The US has a trade deficit of $1 Trillion per year - thats $1 trillion that leaves the country never to return. Thats ~3.5% of GDP that vanishes every year, it used to come back os investment and bond purchases but that ended about 6 years ago. In 1985 the G7 was 75% of global GDP its now ~28% so how do YOU think its going...???

IT CANT GET ANY WORSE....!!! they say just wait and see - it can ALWAYS get worse. The people of the USSR said "it cant get any worse" in 1990 - by 1995 people in St Petersburg were selling their children to buy food. "It cant get any worse" said the people of Britain before Brexit - they now live in a total collapsing sh!t hole of poverty and misery. 1st rule of life - IT CAN ALWAYS GET WORSE

@Thunderstyle7 "Nothing ever happens here". thats kinda why I live in Buglaria LOL. But it is modernising very quickly. I liked the old Bulgaria with dirt roads and horses and carts. That said - they are managing to modernise but not Westernise and thats good.
8
@awolffromamongus875 He has me laughing out lout every video - thats pretty amazing for economics video's
7
Yeah I liked that bit
6
@Thunderstyle7 Hello Estonia - is Estonia as beautiful as the online pictures make it out to be...??? Two places that look AMAZING are Estonia and Slovenia. But they kinda look photoshopped in the pictures LOL
6
12,300 schools need replacing - past the end of their structurally safe life. And that number is about 1 year out of date. 55% of courtrooms are on a day to day inspection before use schedule. The UK needs to spend £4 Trillion over 10 years to fix everything and we are arguing about pennies for grandmothers heating. Its like these people who are tens of thousands in credit card debt and they switch to supermarket home brand food and think it will solve the problem.
6
@hezekiawhite8207 - He donated his skin to save a life - thats not very materialistic.
6
OH its 95% for me
6
@jimpaddy79 EXACTLY - As Xi Jinping said recently to the billionaires in China "You are NOT self made. You did well and yes you deserve praise for your success, but your mother looked after you, birthed you in a hospital paid for by society, society schooled you, you drive on roads maintained by society and you fly your jet safely because of the air traffic control provided by the state, your business is done over the internet provided by society, you rose to the top of society but yo are from society and part of society. If you don't start giving back to that society in appropriate levels we will take all your money off you" I paraphrase.
6
AND you need a large number of competing companies. You think the US car companies are going to innovate and make great new models at a lower cost or just keep selling out-of-date cr4p for $100k...???
6
It puts greed into perspective
6
@shaky2522 He is very funny
6
WOW - NICE JACKET I make bespoke mens historical suits and that is exquisite
5
@Dave5843-d9m BTW - Im deeply sorry your countries education system failed you so badly.
5
He could do "standup economics comedy"
5
@Thunderstyle7 Its nice and hot with long summers and great beaches...!!! Take care.
5
thats good
5
@TurboXray COPE harder buddy - its over. AI is open source from now on and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
5
That implies you were a Credit Suisse shareholder - which is one of the most idiotic things I could imagine anyone being. Im not into trading shares but CS has been the flashing warning light of the banking industry for years. It was the go to example of bad banking

@vylbird8014 I only bought S Class Mercedes, so not exactly shopping on price. The pinnacle was the W140 1994 and its been downhill since then. I was my neighbours S650 Maybach before Christmas - it was sh!t, chromed plastic airvents, fake leather on the dash, "mood lighting" make it look like a Twitch streaming Gamers bedroom. Electronics and gadgets have replaced build quality and people know it. I never bought the cars new - I used to buy them about 4 years old - but thats out of warranty and nothing lasts and nothing works.
4
After 25 years of driving increasingly electronic and increasingly poor build quality S - Class Mercedes. I genuinely want a car with fabric seats, not leather, wind up windows, a heater, AC, forwards, backwards, go and stop and THATS IT. Im sick of horrifically expensive electronic repairs on 7 year old cars. My last S Class coupe used to flatten the battery in less than 3 weeks if I didn't use it and THEN it had to go to Mercedes to have all the electronics re-programmed so it knew what it was. the seats would not work etc. €300 every time you let the battery go flat...!!!
4
Thats why there is a misty look to the video...
