this was my comment: BECAUSE EUROPEAN CARS ARE NOW PLASTIC SH!T I literally gave away my 2012 S500 Mercedes I was that sick of the problems... 85,000 miles and I gave it away for free to get shut - THAT IS HOW BAD THEY ARE NOW.

SHOE SHINE BOYS were the finance YouTubers of the 1920s Brilliant...

MY RENT IS €150 a month on a beachfront apartment and I have a 10-year agreement on this property - I think I will stay here, working 2 hours a day and reading philosophy. THANK YOU
3
@nicholaswoollhead6830 - OH thank you

This is the best monkey story ever
3
@patrickmcardle4771 Here in Bulgaria "Epipen" [well the locally produced equivalent] is €12 for a pack of 10. In the US its $600 for a pack of 2...

You dont even need a coupe of million - you can replicate DS learning for tiny amounts as they have released the details. One guy replicated it on one subject for $30

The biggest problem I see in the US [IM an author on the collapse of civilisations not an economist] is that the US now has effectively two economies. 1) for the top 25% - which is doing astonishingly well 2) for the other 75% that is getting worse and worse - bordering on dire. The issue is economy No1 is so massive in $$$ terms it is distorting the overall numbers of the US economy. And 100% of the politicians and the pundits live in the No 1 economy.

Spacex has received and spent $3 billion to land a NASA crew on the moon - they recovered a booster, which is good. But April 2024 they should ahve landed NASA bods on the moon for the now spent $3 billion...
3
WHAT I TAKE AWAY FROM THIS is the Chinese model of running an economy is significantly better than the Western model...
3
@Daijyobanai You refer to the AM3ric4 - 82% of Chinese report in independent 3rd party surveys that the government is responsive to their needs, I believe its 16% in the US. When you have 1 party and 1.4 billion people - you have to be careful, you cant blame the other party for the state of the country...!!!
3
THANK GOD WE ARE LESS GULLIBLE TODAY Imagine if someone pulled off this kind of deception today and received billions and billions of tax $$ and we put the entire future of space travel in thier hands - it does not bear thinking about.
3
I USED TO PAY £15O a year in the 1980's for LP's - that's about £450 today - so that would buy me 2 Swiftie concerts - I don't think that's bad
3
My astonishingly working-class sister in the Uk is a millionaire cos she bought a house with 4 acres of land in 1992 for £85k. They sold the land off for building and pocketed about £500k over the last 15 years and the house is still worth about £700k. she would be the first to admit its total insanity
3
Was it Felon Tusk???
3
18:45 HOW DID THAT WORK OUT FOR AMERICA...?
3
@dancahill9585 - YES - "foreign investment" is seen as axiomatically a good thing. Ask the people of Briton how foreign investment in their water companies has worked out, or here in Bulgaria with Aemrica food companies buying out the local companies and turning healthy products into sugar-filled MSG hyper-processed sh!t. Foreign investment is rarely in the countries long-term interests.
3
WHAT CAUSED THE GREAT DEPRESSION the same as causes every economic catastrophe - greedy Am3ric4n bankers
3
@silv3rArrow - I absolutely could not agree MORE. But 50% of the USA's GDP is people “keeping up with the joneses”. I was the world's worst victim of this as I grew up very poor and genuinely deprived, I wasted hundreds of thousands of £ and € mostly on cars.
3
@fredforsythe8310 HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHHAHHAH and HA Poland passed the UK for the average standard of living in Dec 2022. Romania and Bulgaria will pass the UK in the next 5 years.
3
YEAH it was about 100 X more interesting than I ever expected.
3
IF YOU ARE A TECH STARTUP WITN ONE BANK ACCOUNT sorry - you dont deserve to BE in business, you are just too sh!t I had a $6 million T/O [very small] Amazon selling business and I had 3 accounts at different banks not connected to each other, and on occasion I needed them.

NOTHING SHOULD BE OWNED BY PRIVATE EQUITY

THE FOUNDING OF AMERICA is very very different in the Europen telling of the story...
2
NVIDIA MARKET CAP TO REVENUE IS 29 X TESLAS MARKET CAP TO REVENUE IS 13.4 X And Sun Microsystems was hysterically over valued at 10 X according to its CEO
2
IT CANT GET ANY WORSE....!!! just wait and see - it can ALWAYS get worse. The people of the USSR said "it cant get any worse" in 1990 - by 1995 people in St Petersburg were selling their children to buy food. "It cant get any worse" said the people of Britain before Brexit - they now live in a total collapsing sh!t hole of poverty and misery. 1st rule of life - IT CAN ALWAYS GET WORSE
2
MY LANDLORD JUST BOUGHT a very low mileage 30 year old VW Golf Deisel My landlord is a very clever guy.
2
HUAWEIMAKE THE WORDS BEST INFERENCE CHIPS...!!! Not NVIDIA HUAWEI bet that the future would be inference optimised chips NOT GPU's for training - this has probably paid off for them
2
That was very funny
2
UNIRONICALLY - ADDING A MINIATURE RAILWAY OT THE LAS VEGAS LOOP would make it many orders of magnitude better, faster and have much greater capacity
2
MOONSHOT KIMI IS AN AMAZING ALTERNATIVE TO GOOGLE It will give you truly global results and searches and offer the most relevant websites at the side and NOT the ones who paid to be there. Its like a much better version of Google when google was good
2
@paulhawkins6415 - I h4t3 it with a burning passion. Im very selective with my clients, Im ill I cant do much work so I need people who will understand as well as people who appreciate my ethos and style. But what I DONT do is charge €10,000 and make them buy lots of s**t first to prove they are worthy to weed out the less "deserving" I charge €3k to €5k and say sorry to the people I dont feel I can work with and explain I am super limited in what I can make.
2
@ronald3836 Rolex certainly do
2
@Anneke_Kusumodiardjo - Im pretty sure it was Ferrari. I bought a Rolex in 1992 when I was 22 and insecure and it cost me £1,850. About 2 months' wages, maybe 3 for that 22-year-old telesales person. The retail price on that today is £25,600 and you cant have one...!!! AND in 1992 it was almost entirely hand-built and now its almost entirely machine-made and just given a polish by humans. so what 22 year old earns £12,800 a month...???
2
@Anneke_Kusumodiardjo They are not entirely machine-made, but a significant percentage is. Like 80%
2
Im genuinely pleased for you.
2
THIS IS NOT THE UNILATERAL DECISION you are making it out to be...!!! In 2020 Xi announced that China was moving away from supplying the West to supplying its internal market of 800 million "middle-class" consumers.
2
LATEST RESEARCH DOOMS AI AGi [general] which is what the tech Bros are absolutely desperate for - its 9 ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE further away in processing power than thought And almost certainly will have to be Quantum computers. Consciousness is not at the neuron level in the brain but at the microtubule level, there are ~1 Billion microtubules in every neuron. You would literally need a Dyson sphere to power it
2
THIS IS NOT THE UNILATERAL DECISION Patrick making it out to be...!!! In 2020 Xi announced that China was moving away from supplying the West to supplying its internal market of 800 million "middle-class" consumers. Im always shocked by the fact that people in the West simply don't BOTHER to read anything put out by the Chinese government on policy and then make videos or go on CNN and talk rubbish. [not meaning Patrick there]
2
English guy in Bulgaria here - WE have [for now] "sub 25k €, EV that are brilliant build quality - they are Chinese. Im guessing they will soon be removed from the market.
2
THE FURTHER WEST YOU WENT to get land the more generally BAD you had to be as a person - the natives were getting more desperate and the land worse... So California was settled by the absolute worst of humanity - then they interbred - and that's California today
2
I TAILOR BESPOKE men's historical suits 1890-1930 entirely by hand - I feel deeply sorry for people who are defining their value as a person by the designer label on their clothes. They are being lied to in SO many ways 1) its not that good quality 2) it says nothing good about you as a person 3) you are NOT part of the elite 4) you would have been way better investing the money in a mutual fund 5) buying this sh!t is making you miserable cos ever 1 item you have there are 20 you don't 6) buying this sh!t is keeping you poor.
2
NB. CHINA NO LONGER INVESTS ITS $USD BACK INTO AM3RIC4...!!! China has $1,5 trillion $USD cash on hand and is setting up a parallel $USD global economy bypassing the SWIFT system.
2
@albundy3929 Only peasants follow trends. Its partly what keeps them peasants. When you grow up and if you are successful enough to have your clothes made bespoke you will care more about it fitting your son after you die than you will it being trendy. FYI - It wont be trendy, no bespoke tailor will agree to make anything "trendy"
2
@David-ud9ju ""poor" people don't commit crime out of necessity," what kind of insane fantasy world do you live in...????
2
DESIGNER GOODS MAKE TERRIBLE INVESTMENTS they are nearly always made of natural perishable materials that require very VERY specific storage conditions E.G. I have a pair of John Lobb Shell cordovan double monk strap shoes I bought in 2008, I really wear them, in the bag in the box - got them out, the coating on the leather has stuck to the fabric of that bag and ruined them.
2
I FOR ONE am extremely glad that Am3riuc4n have learned the lessons of the Great Depression and will never repeat it... [hahhahah]
2
HE WAS ELECTED FOR THE SAME REASON AS TRUMP this is why Obama was the worst president of the USA ever. He promised everything and delivered nothing. Well not true - he delivered Trump...!!! But thats kinda my point - no pathetic letdown of the trust of the American people by Obama - no Trump. Politicians globally have delivered POVERTY to the masses and riches to the few
2
@michaelriecher5632 I don't understand the reference - Where I live the PM is an internationally respected professor of chemistry. If you are refering to Britain as I think you might be??? My iotehr comment covers that nicely: IT CANT GET ANY WORSE....!!! just wait and see - it can ALWAYS get worse. The people of the USSR said "it cant get any worse" in 1990 - by 1995 people in St Petersburg were selling their children to buy food. "It cant get any worse" said the people of Britain before Brexit - they now live in a total collapsing sh!t hole of poverty and misery 1st rule of life - IT CAN ALWAYS GET WORSE

@okgroomer1966 YES I am craping on capitalism and YES there are plenty free lunches in this world as long as you already have a few million in the bank the world is FULL of free lunches. Only the poor don't get a free lunch. How do you suppose we generate wealth without it?" I propose you DONT GENERATE WEALTH - I propose yo live in a world with universal basic services of a high quality and you live a life that is sustainable and supportable on a planet with 8 billion people and you STOP chasing wealth cos you CAN NOT HANE 8 billion people all chasing wealth. Have you not noticed - its killing the planet...??? Money is limited - for you to be wealthy other people have to be poor. Your goal in life is to make as many people destitute as possible so you can be rich. Every excess $100k yo have in your bank is kids going to school in worn-out second-hand clothes, people pulling their own teeth out too poor to afford a dentist. Capitalism is the lie that infinite growth on a finite planet was possible - its NOT and we have reached [sadly] crunch time when that lie starts to collapse. BTW - I can go all day on this - Im an author now, I write books on psychology and the collapse of civilisations.
