  3. THATCHERS JOB was working out how to get more air into ice cream as ice cream is sold by volume so you can sell less if you can get more air into it. A friend of my mother, who worked with her at Leeds University in the early 80's, had previously worked in the ice cream industry with thatcher - this is why my mother would never eat Walls Ice Cream as it used to be made with pig fat. Walls do 2 things - pork sausages and Ice Cream ...!!! This was adamantly denied by Walls but was actually true at the time.

  10. *I WOULD NOT CARE*. if I went to the British Museum and the artefacts were mostly direct copies of the originals, it loses nothing for me - Trajan's column is a copy. Actually, I would like to see them copied as they would be originally and painted THAT would be more interesting to me. Replace all the old broken stuff with objects as they WOULD have been at the time - this would be fascinating.

THE LABOUR MP responding to Goves "Leveling Up Agenda" specifically said she felt embarrassed for Gove cos she knew the vast amount of hard work and dedication he had put in, but that he was blocked at every turn by other ministers. And she was not being sarcastic, she meant it. By all accounts, he is good and hard working. He is a very creepy thing though.

IVE BEEN WATCHING various Twitch Streamers for some research I've been doing - I think Gen Z and Gen A must have a VERY different view of the world On a random selection you get boys, girls, trans, cross-dressers, gay, lesbian, bi, brown, white, yellow, immigrant, native-born, ADHD, turrets, Autistic, gamers, cooking shows, collaborations, literally the ENTIRE spectrum of humanity represented. Its both terrifying to watch as its so intense, but its incredibly inspiring and creative. I think these generations will be very tolerant.

I THINK THE SCALE OF THE ABUSE is what is causing the mass panic - everyone I talk to in the TV / comedy industry has heard about tales of abuses on a VAST scale I think the victim count at the end of this will be in the hundreds. I think the big issue is these companies one again KNEW about this and did nothing. More importantly, their actions now indicate they know about the SCALE of it - IMO

  27. HERE IN BULGARIA the electricity has not gone up 1p in this energy crisis, Bulgaria is a net exporter of electricity and the EXPORT price has to offset the domestic price and VV. So when it skyrocketed for you, that subsidised our bills. I think a similar thing should be introduced for basic food items in supermarkets - there should be say 200 staple foods that HAVE to be subsidised by the 200 most profitable foods >> If they need to put up basic spaghetti by 5p - actually they put up the organic avocadoes by 5p. People who buy organic avocadoes dont notice 5p. The basics should not be allowed to go up more than wages or inflation which ever is the lowest.

HERE IN BULGARIA a bus ride is 65p no matter how far you go... 1 stop of 30 stops They recognise that people don't use buses for pleasure, they use them for work and shopping and a bus ride to work is 65p, why should you be penalised if you live a long way from work...? They are also so frequent they don't even print time tables, you just go wait for one

PERFORMATIVE CRUELTY it has now spread to disabled children - my sister has two at her martial arts school who have been the subject of quite astonishing discrimination from the government - both denied education...!!! The parents have been told to give up work and home school them it they care so much about them being educated - I WISH I were making this up. My sister is trying to help

I WILL ALWAYS THANK HER for hanging on long enough to get rid of johnson - if she had died 4 weeks ago johnson would have called a general election to try and use the "rally around the flag" moment to win. "Dont want to be changing government at a time like this...!!!" And he would probably have won. I shall be forever grateful she saved us that horror.

  43.  @paulroberts7544  dude, I've travelled to 55 countries in my life, lived on four continents, I live in Eastern Europe, I speak four languages including Russian and Bulgarian, I'm learning Chinese and I'm going to China next year to immerse myself in the culture because I'm writing a book that needs it. Enjoy your semidetached in a little cul-de-sac I've nothing against that but be assured I am not the one in the echo chamber...!!!

  46. CAN I MAKE A SUGGESTION TIM do a video about how to stay warm without using electricity / gas - you clearly wear a Banyan, a hat and a scarf indoors - as do I. I used NO heating this entire winger - woolly jumpers, blanket on the sofa dressed like you except in brown. We have lost the art of staying warm in a cold house and I think this is NEEDED now.

  49. THE ENTIRE ELECTORAL AND POLITICAL SYSTEM NEEDS REFORMING the whole structure of the UK's government needs modernising and making fit for purpose. Devolved tax raising to the regions, PR at all levels, ONLY national decisions taken at a national level, the HoL moved OUT of London, NO 2nd jobs for MP's, house of professionals to replace the HoL, NO lobbying, office provided by the govt for MP's no more employing your daughter, severe punishment for corruption / sexual harassment / etc. TOP TO BOTTOM reform

  50. I READ A THING THAT CHANGED MY OPINION TOTALLY a guy asked on Quora what it was like to do a. long time in prison - the person replying did 18 years... He said "at first its horrible and then you get used to it, after about 5 years you will institutionalise and you will stop thinking of it as anything other than 'your life' you will live your life as if its a normal life. You will come to LIKE the security, the lack of responsibility, the routine. You will be more scared of your release date than you are the sentence". PRISON DOES NOT WORK Short sentences destroy lives forever so are totally disproportionate, long sentences stop being a punishment after about 5 years. The wives and children suffer MORE than the convicted person but are innocent. If you are a danger to society you need psychiatric help in a secure facility. Everyone else should be part of restorative justice program.
