  1. Maybe, human expansionism is not such a great idea after all. It originates, like any expansionism, not in the most noble goals. We first and foremost should care about this planet and our future here, and clear the mess we created. If we cannot even manage the existing rich biosphere, how will we be able to create a new one on a lifeless planet?

  5. The point is that sooner or later it will become unsustainable, if growth of population, consumption etc. continues, then producing enough food one day will mean being beyond our limits. Overshoot-collapse trajectory is inevitable with infinite growth paradigm, and new technology can only postpone the inevitable. So, economic inequality is the biggest problem, but so is the paradigm of endless economic growth, which "should never stop" in current system. It need endless growth or production, consumption and population, which together will be a recipe for disaster. Read articles by William E. Rees... He and many others question current paradigm of growth

  7. My beliefs and views are left-wing, but practically, in action, I don't protest or engage in any activism. I practically care only about myself and my parents. I don't think I would have mental strength or courage to try to change anything on a larger scale. I feel like most centrists are just people, who care about living their own life, and for whatever reasons, are not interested in actively participating in political life. I wish they just were honest about it, instead of trying to present it as some "enlightened" position
