  3. I have never known there are any seals in Ladoga, although it is unlikely I would have seen them anyway, since I haven't been on that lake often. I have seen seals only on White Sea

They were still there in the Americas much earlier than anyone else and developed their civilizations independently and right there. And I am proud that they are related to many of indigenous people in my own country (Russia)

  10. There was also extreme volcanism in Deccan traps lasting for hundreds of thousands of years before and after the asteroid, that amplified the effect from climatic change significantly. Some animals happened to be better to adapting and some worse. Most lineages of dinosaurs didn't manage to adapt to all that change
