Please understand the difference between weather and climate. Weather refers to short-term atmospheric conditions in a specific place at a particular time, such as temperature, humidity, and precipitation. Climate, on the other hand, is the long-term average of weather patterns in a region over an extended period – typically decades or centuries. This distinction is fundamental to understanding the science behind climate change.

@englishpatriot6428 Someone who is born in the UK is not an immigrant – they are a British citizen by birth. Their ethnic or religious background doesn’t change the fact that they were born here. Being Sikh or having Indian heritage doesn’t mean you’re not British. Stick to the facts, not your nationalist identity politics.

Who are these "lefty lawyers"? They are people doing a job of ensuring that international law is observed. Disdain for human rights is the early warning sign of fascism.
3
@bauble56 It's not about unlimited mass immigration, as you seem to think. My position is that we need a fair, humane, and just immigration system – one that is structured to handle those seeking refuge or a better life in a way that respects both the rights of migrants and the resources of the host country. This doesn't mean open borders without limits; it means having a system that is well-regulated and works for both the people who are seeking asylum and the citizens already here. You seem to equate criticism of how vulnerable groups are treated with wanting to open the floodgates to everyone. But my concern is not with people seeking better lives; it's with how poorly the UK has handled immigration policy. The previous Tory government failed to manage the system, particularly with the lack of processing facilities, safe routes, and agreements with other countries. Now, the current Labour government is left with the mess that was largely caused by years of neglect. Blaming Labour for the failure to fix what the Tories didn’t handle responsibly seems a bit misplaced. The real issue here is about ensuring that we have a system that is both compassionate and effective – not about throwing the doors open without thought.

Paris is the most visited European city. Is it the attraction of the Bourbon dynasty, by any chance?- It used to be London until a change in 2020 that certainly does not promote culture & strengthen local economy . What could that change have been?
3
So tell me "wise one", what other pearls of numpty wisdom do you have? 🤡🤡

Islands: there are 4,400. Those that voted to exit the EU didn't give a shite about NI. What's the change of mind?
3
Watchman Of Manasseh That's because the the Good Friday Agreement was 18 years before Brexit! The GFA seeks to: use best endeavours to reach agreement on the adoption of common policies, in areas where there is a mutual cross-border and all island benefit, The EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement promote coordination between all border agencies, both internally and across borders, to facilitate border-crossing processes and enhance control, taking into account joint border controls where feasible and appropriate . Do you spot the difference? You can't have one without the other. Agreements, not opinion.
3
Watchman Of Manasseh Maths not you strong point? Percentages does not equal actual numbers. As you are clearly lacking the fundamentals, I will frame it differently: of those that voted leave were roughly 15% Catholics, compared to 60% of Protestants; 22% were nationalists, compared to 66% unionists; 13% described themselves as “Irish”, compared to 63% that described themselves as “British.”
3
Reform UK: what policies do they have? What is their policy on labour rights? Who funds them? How are they different to the Tories? What makes them anything more than a protest vote? Where is their pool of talent to stand at a candidate at every constiuency in England and Wales? (remember, the election could be in the Summer or Autumn). These are the kinds of questions that people need to know before voting for them. Otherwise you'd be buying a pig in a poke! 👍
3
If you voted for “Boris” and his Brexit deal, then you voted for the agreement we're living with now. That deal included a planned review - set for 2025 - and guess what? That time has come. This isn't some sudden reversal or betrayal; it's literally part of the agreement that was signed. If you're unhappy with the outcome, the blame lies with the deal you backed - not with those trying to fix its consequences.

Serbia has not had a monarch since 1918 with the Treaty of Trianon, and the "Prince's" opinion on democracy seems to be stuck in a pre-WWI monarchist time-warp.
3
What offensive things does Khan say? Examples please.
3
What examples of Khan saying the "most offensive things" have you provided? Nothing! Nothing whatsoever. More unfounded claims! It's what one comes to expect from you Deformers
3
@neilthompson3401 All hypothetical, isn't it? We've had "hard", "soft", "red, white & blue" Brexit. Surely, this is Schrödinger's Cat Brexit. It is both "done" and "not done" but we cannot open the box as it will be "undone".
3
How can one say that David Frost has good sense? Remember, he stated that the UK Government had ''underestimated'' the impact the Northern Ireland Protocol would have on the region. After all, it was Frost who had helped negotiate this as part of the initial Brexit deal. He had been warned by John Major amongst others. How is this good sense? Please explain.

Let's set the record straight: the World Economic Forum (WEF) does not control UK government ministers. 🤔 It's important to know who influences our political parties. Did you know that Reform UK shares deep connections with the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA)? The IEA, a secretive think tank, often pushes policies favoring big business and deregulation, which may not always be in the best interest of ordinary citizens. Understanding these links can help us see who might be pulling the strings behind the scenes Let's base our views on facts, not unfounded conspiracy theories. Critical thinking and informed discussions are key to understanding how our world works. 🌍

@Celtictribes You defend her if you want i prefer to defend free speech . What about Ms Evans' free speech?
3
There's nothing quite like having a fossil fuel oligarch and a major donor to right-wing causes shaping the narrative on GB News. Alexander Temerko, with his significant influence and resources, has the power to steer discussions and perspectives, including promoting an anti-Zelenskyy stance. His involvement raises questions about the objectivity and balance of the channel's reporting, highlighting the impact of wealthy donors on media agendas.
3
Don't anyone mention pegging.
3
Inciting hatred is not free speech. Origins of free speech was in publication of material, not In numpties on social media spreading racial hatred and dezinformatsiia .
3
You make reform a dirty word. Another word to reclaim from the far-right.
3
@Kushdeeskates Saying that makes you seem extremely condescending, arrogant, delusional, and FAR-RIGHT! Shall we look at the rhetoric of your Reform UK Limited people?
3
Woody giving a "fair and balanced coverage" is like Harold Shipman promising to do you no harm. Wotton is a cheap tabloid hack.
3
Mainlining vitriol for the angry paranoiad GBers!
3
@888macky888 What aboutism: the default of numpties!
3
That's the ''narrative'' your masters have formulated. You work from home, you are LAZY. Wootton is a messenger, not a free speech champion.
3
A favourite of GB News: I voted for a Conservative government, I didn't get one! The UK had nearly ten years of austerity, and the "hostile environment". What did you expect to get in 2019? Edmund Burke? Benamin Disraeli? You got what you voted for: a post-Brexit "Conservative" government that humiliates the people of the UK with indifference and selfish greed.
3
Just leave!

Anderson voted against equality and human rights; against measures to alleviate climate change; and against freedom of movement. He has also voted for the restriction of trade unions. On the other hand, he has voted to restrict legal aid, and for companies he has voted to reduce corporate taxes, and voted against higher taxes on banks; he voted against measures to reduce tax avoidance. He is also a man that can criticise people for using food banks, claiming they can make “nutritious meals” for 30p, whist he himself eats subsidised meals in the Commons and last year claimed £186,000 in expenses. Does this make Anderson the voice of reason ?

I am glad the irony is not lost on you, or is it? Imagine your city has been demonised by an international section of the radical right, that your city represents the very worse excesses of a "political dictatorship". Those people then organise a conference in your city . We don't want these "haters" here, you say, those people who run our city down! For your information, closing it down was due to safety and policing issues rather than "cancel culture".
3
@TheBigKahuna1211 Has this been your cut 'n' paste comment for the past eight years? Shows lack of intelligence, lack of reflection, a general lack of understanding.
3
Since you GBers like the reflected glory of past miseries, my grandfather was a Cavalry officer and fought in the Boer War and WWI, and my other grandfather was a Petty-Officer in the RN and fought at Jutland; my uncle fought in the 8th Army at El Alamein. I am sure they would not be indifferent to the butchery of 5,000 children, so why would you be?
3
@willie8976 It all about me, me, me!!! There is no freedom without responsibility . Are you really concerned about real societal liberation? A stateless society? A society for individuals to flourish? In other words, does your freedom extend to the freedoms of others? Or do you wish to restrict the freedoms of others by voting for reactionary parties that curb civil liberties? These include laws against the freedom of movement, and the authoritarian policies of the Tory government that pass laws to restrict freedom to protest. Nevertheless, it’s great to hear that GB News is shining "a spotlight on the troubling issues of our country" (GBN Charter). This must be what people are concerned about: lockdowns, Meghan and monarchy.
3
While it's clear that Elon Musk has made significant contributions in various fields, how can we ensure that the influence of a billionaire from outside the UK aligns with the interests and values of the British people, rather than serving personal or corporate agendas?
3
Is that the hurting people who are hurting but nevertheless voted for the Tories in 2010? In 2015? In 2017? In 2019?
3
Who is "our"? You can become a mercenary in Ukraine. What is stopping you? You clearly want a war to fight working class people of other countries. Fight for the strong against the weak. Though, people like you would want to fight for the Russians. So anonymous, yet so brave.
3
You are confused, aren't you? You don't understand either, but think that they can be conflated!
3
That is exactly right.
3
@veronicawood9134 Upport the slam nocide, do ou?
3
@ Kunty!
3
@kevintewey1157 Anyway, do you wish to answer or pick me up on my correct use of English?
3
@dazjackson1972 Don't be coy! Tell us what you really think about the Notting Hill Carnival! Don't use dog-whistles, tell us. Here are a few prompts to help you: …crime… / …multiculturalism … / … two-tier policing… / … “woke” Police … / Enoch … blah, blah. If you want more prompts let me know.
3
I am English and I don't much care for small-minded, bigoted and xenophobic people so I no longer live in the UK. After you have corrected your native English, can you give us a list of how subservient you want visitors, immigrants, and refugees to be.
3
@typhoon2827 It's not voting for anything, it's voting against a narrow-minded xenophobic view of the country, and of the continent. If I was in two minds in 2016, I only had to look at those leading the Leave campaign: Johnson, Gove, Rees-Mogg. That Johnson and Gove are not to be trusted is now common knowledge. My Slovak partner has lost freedom of movement in one country; I have lost it in 27!
3
But you are not interested in all grooming gangs though, are you? Not interested in all the girls that have been groomed, are you? Otherwise, you be supportive of Shamima Begum, wouldn't you?
3
Well said Simon!

Deform UK
3
@viper_fan Yes, "your mate" did, but Croatia's passports are blue; it is in the EU. What does that say? Sorry that you believed the lies, the misrepresentation or the total ignorance of the UK political class.
3
How are courts elected in the UK? The ECHR is an international court, not a foreign one. The UK isn’t controlled by the ECHR – Parliament is still sovereign, and while the court can make rulings, it can't force the UK to change its laws. Oh and slavery was abolished in the British Empire in 1833, not in the world as in the US, for example, it was not abolished until 1865.
