US has the highest rates of murder and gun-murder in the developed world, and the least gun control. It’s proof the US should copy the Uk immediately and abolish civilian ownership of handguns and semiautomatic rifles
10
God help them because cowardly Republicans never will
6
It’s because Biden makes China nervous unlike Trump. Remember how Trump had a secret bank account in China? China also hopes to Trump is re-elected since Trump is isolationist
6
@patrickmorris7064 these facts are indisputable. 6.4 million jobs were created under the Biden Administration. The Stock Market has made gains, the economy is doing better since Trump was elected. What’s there to complain about?
4
Gla Drut I mean how can you justify a regime that deprives people human rights?
3
WAKE UP CONSERVATIVES EVERY OTHER DEVELOPED NATION HAS TOUGHER GUN LAWS AND LOWER RATES OF MURDER AND GUN-MURDER
3
I bet you money that this gun was legally bought or acquired from a relative/associate of the suspect. US is the only developed nation with frequent mass shootings, and has the highest rate of murder and gun-murder in the developed world
3
@Kevin-sy2go Republicans are wrong. every year US has lax gun laws and the highest rates of murder and gun-murder.
3
@joey_outdoors how come in the UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, etc, there are tougher gun laws and lower murder and gun-murder rates?
3
@donsims1941 I like Biden’s policy on Climate Change, gun control, income inequality, ending COVID-19, promoting and distributing vaccines, and repairing foreign relations ruined by Trump. Opinion polls indicate most people in most allied nations hated Trump. The US’s image has immediately improved with Biden in charge.
2
This is why we need gun control.
2
If China was threatening to take away your human rights you’d be angry too
2
@caseyheckelmiller4495 The guns in Chicago are usually acquired in nearby Indiana, other developed nations outside the US have tougher gun laws and LOWER rates of murder and gun-murder. Facts don’t care about your feelings
2
@Gabe_-pw7xv where is the proof that China wanted Biden to win? China and Russia were running pro-Trump and anti-Hillary Clinton ads in 2016, for example
2
@Gabe_-pw7xv congratulations are a formality and nothing significant. Trump killed the TPP which was a strategic gift for China. Biden wanted it to contain China. How do you figure Biden is pro-China when Trump has been more helpful?
2
@Gabe_-pw7xv the New York Times, Vanity Fair, and Foreign Policy all report that Trump as of 2020 maintained and kept secret a bank account in China, so it was open all during his presidency and secretly held millions of US dollars. His actions do not seem tough on China
2
Ignoring HK is what HKers want CCP to do. But CCP insists on turning HK into an authoritarian regime like the rest of China. Chinese elites also buy property in HK which drives up prices.
2
You have no understanding of science and research. Gain of function is not dangerous, it is necessary for progress in medicine and healthcare. And it’s not proven that the US helped create COVID-19 in the Chinese lab, in fact this lab leak theory, or that COVID-19 was manmade rather than naturally occurring, are not proven either. You cannot make assumptions
1
@Carlscamping the shooter likely got his gun legally or from an associate who got it legally, as most mass shooters do.
1
Not everyone is good at public speaking. You should try it sometime. It’s harder than you seem to think. Biden also is working very hard, unlike Trump who took vacations every week. He doesn’t necessarily have time to practice speeches while working all day.
1
think about this for a moment, how is Biden to blame for the US Military and funding? Explain
1
They got lucky, they made inflammatory claims without evidence that happened to be proven right later, when evidence was discovered in a later time. They were still irresponsible to peddle what was at the time a fringe and inflammatory theory.
1
Another good guy with a gun. Another legal firearm. WHEN WILL IT END REPUBLICANS?!
1
Why so angry? At the time, a couple years ago when COVID-19 first came about, there was insufficient evidence to justify this inflammatory lab leak theory. But now there’s evidence and it’s therefore ok.
1
Such insolence. Biden is more of a respectable and capable President than Trump. He takes NATO seriously.
1
Why you hate Biden so much?
1
@donsims1941 how is that Biden’s fault? Explain yourself with facts and evidence. From reliable sources only.
1
@donsims1941 show proof that you’re not just making up random statements.
1
The police are acting as agents of the PRC, a dictatorship that hates human rights. They’re not the good guys here
1
@Kirk Long you would not do any better. Public speaking is more difficult than you think. Try it sometime instead of whining online. It’s hard.
1
@j.richards2346 Biden has a long career in the Senate and as Vice President, was part of President Obama’s legacy of fighting Climate Change, gun violence, War on Terror, and numerous other, less famous issues.
1
China is a dictatorship and dictatorships are the bad guys
1
Jackson Mei I don’t have 800 dollars for a plain ticket
1
Gla Drut NGO reports like the Democracy Index disagree.
1
Gla Drut Colleges like Harvard care about NGOs because they are credible and apolitical sources.
1
Gla Drut I’ve got plenty of money I’m just not going to fly across the world to prove some random guy wrong. Human rights are important and everyone on Earth with a brain should care
1
Thank you Joe Biden. 6.4 million jobs were created under the Biden Administration. The Stock Market has made gains, the economy is doing better since Trump was elected. What’s there to complain about?
1
You aren’t an expert and your opinions don’t matter.
1
@jpscott126 what’s so bad about reading cue cards? Did you sleep through all the nasty stuff Trump did, like trying to ban all Muslims from the US, getting hundreds of thousands of Americans KILLED from COVID-19 by downplaying science, and costing the US billions of dollars a year by Trump taking vacation flights to his private priorities?
1
@soogadyek7364 Trump got hundreds of thousands of Americans killed by lying about and downplaying the dangers of Covid-19, the Lancet Medical Journal says so. Unlike Biden, Trump took trips every week to his private resorts and costed the US taxpayers billions of their dollars.
1
@moow950 how is Joe Biden to blame for COVID-19, Putin invading Ukraine, or inflation. In your own words
1
@unboxedcharacter the suspect probably bought the gun legally or got it privately from an associate who did so. It’s proof gun control would’ve worked
1
@lokkotez it is lower than the gun murder rate in the US, and the total murder rate is lower than the US’s as well. This is proof gun control saves lives
1
Not that easy. It has to cover their commercial real estate mortgages, firstly
1
@UrMom_says in the UK there are tough gun laws and LOWER rates of murder and gun-murder. Same for every other nation in the Western World
1
@joephysics5469 Israel has tougher gun laws than the US. You are required to wait and train with a weapon or serve in the military before you can own a gun. And ammo is tracked by the Israeli government
1
@jiggajivin Republicans are opposed to a national registry, perhaps because it creates a useful excuse that there are too many guns to make gun control feesible
1
@joephysics5469 you are assuming without proof. Perhaps the suburbs are quiet because criminals don’t live there, or because there isn’t much street crime to commit; fewer businesses, people, etc. it’s not proof that gun ownership discourages violence. And anyways your argument is countered by the dozens of nations who for the past few decades have had lower rates of murder and gun-murder
1
@joephysics5469 so you are ok with sacrificing people for your right to a security blanket? And you think it’s a coincidence that the US has the highest rates of murder and gun-murder in the developed world, with the most lax gun laws? Are you ok
