Look at their faces. They’re like him, same or similar ethnicity. They maybe respect him and feel conflicted serving the corrupt authorities. Everyone in that court room is either on the take, or powerless to stop it.

pineapplesareyummy Why you hate the US lol
30
That’s a minor scandal, US and Germany are still close allies. US also isn’t going to do anything nefarious unlike China, which is a hostile and genocidal nation
29
texxstalker Democratic nations deserve to exist and regimes deserve to be overthrown
21
Easier to just ban them
20
R J US is not being overthrown. Protests are an enshrined right for Americans. A few people in a few cities are looting, but this is not affecting most people. To say that the US is being “overthrown” similar to Iraq is laughable
14
Russia and China are worried they can no longer conquer their neighbors. Or they’re worried that all these democracies NATO is protecting will inspire similar revolutions at home.
14
Where is the proof
14
Maybe Mongolia should assert ancient claims to Poland?
12
Not likely as the whole world is accusing China, even those that don’t want war, such as the EU
10
@adz951 not implausible at all. Hamas is mobile and uses human shields. Why do you chafe at the idea that Israel says Hamas uses schools and hospitals for military purposes?
10
R J Overthrow the government? NGO reports like the Democracy Index list the US as democratic, similar to European nations like Belgium and France. What good would overthrowing the government do?
8
The threat is now more serious than previous decades. Trump presidency is weak, corrupt, and withdrawing from international affairs. China has gotten away with abuses towards its own minorities and HKers. There is not much standing in China’s way from expansionism.
8
@MaryLaties Gaza Strip is not a prison. It is a country that has, through its own actions, been blockaded due to the attacks it did upon Israel
8
@mattROKX why do you think Israel is lying? This is what Hamas does all the time. Do you think Israel dropped the bombs for fun?
8
But what’s much more expensive is letting China bully other nations and imperialize Asia, Africa, etc
8
Biggest mistake
7
Mortler a scar? Soviets invading the Baltics is a scar. The Katyn Massacre is a scar. Spying on a leader and stopping when caught isn’t a scar, it’s a minor bump in decades of cooperation
7
@dukecarraway1762 The US could begin by enacting a national firearm registry, so that the government can begin confiscating them, also enact a large fine and sentence for anyone who is found using a gun that they should’ve turned in, for example, if a gun owner is found using it for self defense, target shooting/hunting, another crime, or carrying it around.
6
Mario Ceva Russia is corrupt, censors the media, assassinates political opponents, and places onerous restrictions on running for office and forming parties, such as requiring constituencies within Moscow, in order to avoid regional parties from forming. Putin winning a rigged election is nothing special
6
US isn’t a hostile nation that locks up millions of civilians or funds communist insurgencies around the world. Most recently China funded Maoist Rebels (terrorists) in Nepal.
6
@dukecarraway1762 the Federal Assualt Weapons Ban was passed in 1994, and it was not overturned by the Supreme Court. This means that a ban on weapons like handguns, assault weapons, etc is not inherently unconstitutional, at least not between its ten year duration from 1994 to 2004, after which Congress refused to renew it.
5
You have no context of why Israel comes down hard on Palestinians. It’s because of all the wars they started against Israel
5
@xSabir-hc7wj the land is not what Israel wants. Back in 2006 Israel unilaterally withdrew from the Gaza Strip, explicitly to give Palestinians independence and sovereignty, with the expectation that the larger West Bank would follow. In response, the Palestinians elected Hamas and are often happy to support their terrorism and genocide. Now, Israel will not make the same mistake again. No statehood for Palestine, at least not with the current leaders in power, in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
5
Whose land is Israel building on? Point to on the map which land claimed by Israel is actually in fact someone else’s?
5
Josef-Peter Roemer Cheap oil is more important to Germany than human rights? Wow very sad state of German politics. It’s the same gutless spineless mentality found in Washington, but at least there it’s not dressed up as something noble.
5
US is a democracy and China is a regime. China, which 50 years ago threatened the whole world with communist insurgencies, can not be trusted. China recently funded terrorists in Nepalese Civil War
4
Gutless right wingers
4
zexrobot most US wars are against hostile regimes that deserve to be invaded. US has never invaded a democratic nation and especially not since the Cold War
4
@jdsthird Israel doesn’t need to parley with these guys
4
Done? China lacks the ability or the will to attack bases in the Philippines, Singapore, Japan, etc
4
@csharpe5787 that’s what they get for the wars they start
4
John Doe NGO reports like the Democracy Index confirm year after year that Russia is a dictatorship and has lower living standards than the West. Putin is bad for Russia and so Germany should grow a spine and stop giving Russia money for corrupt practices
4
Baboucarr Loum the US is a dedicated ally to Germany and can be trusted unlike China, which is a hostile menace.
3
E Hassan China invaded and imperialized Tibet, East Turkestan, Hong Kong, and threatens Japan and Taiwan. China sponsored several communist insurgencies in East Asia during the Cold War, and armed North Vietnam and North Korea. China cannot be trusted
3
@adz951 Palestinian lives are protected whenever possible but not when they’re enemy soldiers and human shields
3
徐鋒 do you have proof the US invaded other nations for oil? Secondly, dictatorships deserve to fear the US
3
He will eventually die of old age, he’s 71 years old. Perhaps in 10-20 years, he will either die or be sidelined. But who will replace him?
3
They should start by taking Kaliningrad back from Russia
3
@jamesoakley4570 at least the US tried. Most anyone didn’t even bother helping South Vietnam. US also evacuated hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese, and resettled them in the US, Australia, Canada, and other allied nations.
3
Why can’t Europe get gas from elsewhere? Why must it give billions to Russia after it invaded Ukraine and Georgia?
3
It’s China doing provocative and hateful measures
3
@42VS42 senators don’t get kickbacks
3
Germany will be Russia’s poodle if they allow this project to finish. It means Germany is Finlandized
2
Why are Poland and the Baltics also opposed? Clearly it’s because Russian aggression
2
Frank Sommer US and European nations are both democratic, and Europe owes its entire existence to the US. Expert politicians, who are smarter than you, understand there is no reason not to cooperate.
2
PRC should promise them human rights and independence
2
itsatz He would have no need to protest in the US since the US has free elections according to NGO reports.
2
@clausbacher how does a country’s past have any bearing on the thoughts of people in the present day? Use your common sense
2
@adrien5834 Palestinians were not under Israeli jackboots. Israel leaves them alone unless they start trouble, that’s when Israel launches raids into Area A or B of the West Bank, or counter attacks against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
