I just LOVE it when I get robocalls letting me know my car's warranty is about to expire which is kind of weird because I don't even own car ATM and won't be able to get my license back until next month! 🤣🤣🤣 TBH, the whole thing is hilarious to me!   13. Many different jobs and industries require background checks and finger printing. I myself had to do the same thing when applying for my Colorado M.E.D. badge which is required by law to work in commercial cannabis. Although nowadays, they don't use the ink and cards anymore, they just wet down your fingertips and scan them directly into the computer.

  16. Pointing out the MASSIVE White Elephant in the room because we lost 10%-15% of all pilots world wide due to early retirement as a result of Covid. These pilots were given the option to retire upwards of 5-6 years earlier than originally anticipated when given the option, and once the pandemic restrictions were lifted, the demand returned within a couple years but without the pilots to cover to fill it. This is only going to make it worse...

  19. Fun Fact: Michigan doesn't require vehicles to have a front license plate, so Steve could legally drive around with any one of these bolted to the front of his SUV; either a Ford Exploder or a Ford Explodition, I can't never remember which.

  25. I actually spent a year turning wrenches on Class 8 trucks for a local trucking company called D.G. Coleman; best year of my life! I'd LOVE to go back, but the body can no longer keep up, and I've already had to change careers.

  26. Devil's advocate here, but Driver's ed will never be coming back to public schools primarily due to cost and liability in today's snowflake world. I would also like to point out there are plenty of independent companies out there that offer driver safety and training courses that are quite comprehensive. Forgive me for saying so, but it's really the responsibility of the PARENTS to ensure their children are properly prepared, and yes, there is the added expense because the government no longer pays for it, but again, that's on the parents to get it done. That being said, I DO agree that Driver's Ed SHOULD be an elective in high school, but with the direction the world is moving, I don't see that happening. IE: here in Colorado, the DMV no longer does road tests and are handled exclusively by these third party training and testing facilities.

  28. You HAVE to keep in mind computer systems these days are SOOOOO complicated that random errors DO happen, even under the best of circumstances. Granted, 80% of IT problems reported are PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard & Computer), but there are an increasing number of legitimate cases where the machine experiences a previously unforeseen problem because you can only do so much to anticipate Murphy's Law. That being said, programmers are VERY lazy; why do you think they're programmers in the first place?

It's to keep all of the corporate Walley bs out of our town. If Adams County or Arapahoe county Jeffco or any of the rest want that it'stheir business.   42. I recently had to have an interlock system installed on my car, and all the shop did was twist the wires together, melt down some heat shrink tubing, and called it a day. Fortunately, I found a much more reliable shop in the area that re-installed it for free.
